Daunte Wright: Police release bodycam footage of fatal shooting (nypost.com)

The woman cop accidently shot him and was supposed to have tazed him.
But see this person shot made some serious mistakes when confronting the police and resisting them and fled.
Does not excuse the woman who shot instead of tazed him.
How you handle yourself when pulled over by the police seals your fate.

Check out the video of what happened here, this is what the police fear on every traffic stop they make.

Daunte Wright Had Warrant Out For His Arrest For Attempted Aggravated Robbery Charges After Choking a Woman, Holding Her at Gunpoint For Money
It seems to me many of these people shot and killed by police even if accidently, are violent criminals...
Or like I said before many in the area who have no self control, are criminals in the community.
I have no sad feelings over this police shooting.

The BLM and Antifa people though hold up these people like their saints. And the media does not really tell you the whole story.
what is sad about this case, one of the involved officers was in the process of handcuffing the guy and somehow he broke free of that...that was a contributing factor in the shooting, that Wright was able to partially escape custody.

the only upside is that this is getting anitfa out of Seattle and Portland and it's taking attention of Saint George. More normal people don't seem to be as outraged at this Daunte shooting than they were at that cop sitting on George while he was ODing.

You know, my wife has long claimed that Floyd would have been shot if those two with Chauvin had been women, men are so much stronger than they are and there was ab age disparity with Daunte to boot. Guns are great equalizers.

Minneapolis cops arrest at least 60 as they clash with protesters | Daily Mail Online

Typical headlines. They call her a killer cop, show where she lives, & make sure you know how many bedrooms her house has. Her life is ruined. End of story. This is justice according to wokesters. The guy was fleeing, I guess the wokesters would have the police say, oh well, have a good one, & go on with keeping the streets ‘safe’.

Near the bottom of that webpage, this headline appears:

EXCLUSIVE: Daunte Wright had a warrant out for his arrest for attempted aggravated robbery charges after 'choking and holding a woman at gunpoint for $820 in 2019,' court papers reveal

Here are some excerpts:

Wright was due to face trial on a charge of attempted aggravated robbery - with a possible maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

But his bail was revoked in July last year due to his 'failure to not possess a firearm or ammunition' and not keeping in touch with his probation officer, court papers show.

At that time a judge issued a warrant for his arrest, that was still outstanding on the day he died.

Mikkelson's report said: 'The $820 cash was tucked in the victim's bra and defendant Wright placed his hand around victim's neck and choked her while trying to pull the cash from under her bra.

'Victim was able to get loose from defendant Wright and started to kneel down and scream.'

After more yelling, Wright allegedly told the woman that he was going to shoot her unless he got the money.

'Give me the money and we will leave,' he allegedly said. 'Give me the money and we will go.'

Mikkelson added: 'Defendant Wright then tried to choke victim a second time and tried to take her money. Defendant Driver was telling her to give defendant Wright the money.

BLM and Antifa favor these criminals. And look at the socialist goon squad, they call policing destructive, so get rid of police and empty the prisons.

Kim Potter: Five Things About The Officer Who Shot Daunte Wright

upload_2021-4-14_14-42-45.png

DETROIT (AP) — A Michigan congresswoman said the fatal shooting of a young Black man by police near Minneapolis wasn't an accident and is proof of racism, a claim that Detroit's police chief dismissed as a "disgusting knee-jerk response.”

“This was a tragic incident, and it should’ve never happened," said Chief James Craig, who is Black. “But when these tragedies happen, you shouldn’t just broad-brush the entire profession.”

Rep. Rashida Tlaib, a Detroit Democrat, expressed her thoughts on Twitter about the shooting of Daunte Wright, 20, in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. Police said a white officer mistakenly fired her gun instead of a Taser Sunday.

“It wasn’t an accident,” Tlaib wrote. “Policing in our country is inherently & intentionally racist. Daunte Wright was met with aggression & violence. I am done with those who condone government funded murder. No more policing, incarceration, and militarization. It can’t be reformed.”

Craig said Tlaib's tweets were a "disgusting knee-jerk response.” Detroit's population is about 80% Black.

“To say policing should be abolished gives no consideration to the people who live in our neighborhoods who rely on police to provide service,” Craig told The Detroit News. “What happens to those folks? What about the victims?

“The people who live in our city don’t want to abolish the police, so the million-dollar question is: Who does (Tlaib) represent?” he said.

He was out on bail. Disregarded probation. Illegally carried a firearm. Fled police.

His chosen path was designed to get people killed. Happened to be him first.

I am not excusing what happened in this case, nor the one currently on trial, but do dislike how the victims always shown to be angels gunned down by rabid cops!

and the "victim" had a second warrant - for possessing an illegal sidearm

and the anut was out there with a picture of a tazzer and a hand gun.

I wonder if she was out there showing women how to fight back against muggers and robbers.?

It is sad. Wright's conduct did not justify death. But it was an accident (still a criminal charge, probably 3rd degree murder). She was a rookie, but still a trained (continuing training) officer with that authority and a gun.
Sad and seemingly unexpected all around. But a rookie? I haven't seen any other info, only that she has been with the police for 26 years. She seemed to be taking charge.

I was going off another post. I have not watched much on the news.

Maybe I misread the post, I'll look again.
