Hello Benjamin,

How have you been? Everything unfolding well for you in the providence of God?
Hey Icon,

Yes, I'm often reminded how unworthy I am of the Providence that comes my way so I’m considering it quite a blessing to experience His great loving guidance in my weaknesses. Hope it is well for you.

It is undeniable that pot damages developing brains but now our children will see the use of it for recreational purposes is approved by the very state which condemns most any other even remotely harmful chemicals and demands warning labels be placed on them.

Pot head want to legalize drugs. We will all have a heart attack and die of not surprised.
Look forward to more 35 year old children in California getting high and playing video games in Mom and Dad's basement who believe the government should do more to help them out...

That's the debate, isn't it.

Are you able to explain why you believe it's a public safety issue?

Like I said, you know what I meant. You're being pedantic to obfuscate the issue.

No, I'm asking you to elaborate on something you said earlier. That's neither pedantic nor obfuscation. It's called having a conversation.

Either you can articulate your position or you can't. I guess you can't.

Thirteen-year-old girls roll their eyes. Why not man up and have an adult conversation? It's a good thread.

Apparently, manning up isn't really his thing.

I asked him to elaborate on claims he made in a previous post, and you see how that went.

Look at the bright side, at least he's not a moderator any more. He was very bad about abusing his moderator privileges with posters who disagreed with him about rock and pop music.

I don't want to get into a war against him, or anyone else here, for that matter.

I was ribbing him a bit to see if he might continue the conversation and defend his statement, which would have been interested and helpful to the thread. I hope he does, rather than making dismissive remarks.

If you want to have a conversation, man up yourself. You know what I meant.

So, you run away when somebody asks you to elaborate on things you said, but then you tell somebody else to "man up"? That's quite a double standard there snip

Neither do I. I was just asking him a question. I don't know what his problem is.

How'd that work out for you?

If the use of a substance makes one a danger to himself or to others, then yes it should be controlled.

Do you stand by this statement, or would you like to edit it? I don't mind either way. If you stand by the statement. I stand by my reply to it. It's the very same mentality that sought to make large sodas illegal in NY.

Don't be so quick to label yourself "erudite" (very odd thing to do, BTW). Learned people make sound and logical statements and back them up.

I already clarified it. I said a danger to the public, but you know that's what I meant.

Moving on with the conversation is up to you.

Aaron thinks that a drum in Church is a public safety issue. He should probably lock himself in his home and live in a bubble.

Simply repeating your claim that it's a danger to the public still doesn't answer the question of how it is a danger to the public.

Though I believe that, that wasn't my claim and not the question to which I was responding. It was about the role of government.

So, you said it, then repeated it and even clarified that that's exactly what you meant...

...and now you're claiming you didn't say it?

So, I guess that makes you a liar in addition to being a coward.

How about alcohol...you are telling me that that’s not a killer of brain cells among any age? Then what does pot do to other internal organs... is it like alcohol effecting kidney and liver?
