No, I was simply saying that I trust my family doctor over an insurance company employee making such a decision.

How about you. Would you rather have the insurance company make such a decision?

I don't have any idea why you would even ask such a foolish question.

No one said, but you implied, that ACA would not have covered her. The article shows you are wrong ... and she would have saved money. Be honest now.

Baloney. I said no such thing. You said she had a bad plan. And it's your article that says her current doctors that have been in charge of her battle with cancer will not be covered under the ACA. Her current treatment plan is NOT covered in the ACA. It's your article, C.T.Boy. perhaps you should have read it.

Shows how weak your position is. Do you trust your family doctor or do you trust the insurance company with such a decision? As, so your refuse to answer the question.

This isn't even a complete sentence. Exactly what are you asking me ?

CTB - I'm not understanding how your question about doctors or insurance employees apply to the woman's situation. Please explain.

-----
From the article CTB provided:
Still, Sundby may need to find a different health care provider, since her doctor at UC San Diego is only participating in one plan offered by Anthem Blue Cross in the exchange, but the same policy is not accepted at Stanford. (“Stanford takes a different Blue Cross plan, one that uses a broader preferred provider network of doctors, but that plan is not available in San Diego.”) If Sundby continues to see the non-participating doctors, she will incur additional out-of-pocket health care costs.
See, here's the problem with saying that she would pay less: She can't get the same policy.

So the statement that she would pay less -- can't be accurately measured until you compare it with her being able to keep her doctor and be seen at the hospital where her care has occurred *under the ACA*. What we're really saying is: "You can get it cheaper, but you can't have your doctor or your hospital that you're comfortable with, and who have been responsible for keeping you alive to this point"....

No, I was simply saying that I trust my family doctor over an insurance company employee making such a decision.
That's really too bad, because, you see CTB, your beloved Great Pretender and his socialist ACA are going to take the decisions out of both yours and your doctors' hands, and out of the hands of the insurance company, and put those decisions in the hand of the federal government. Why? Because the federal government will be the insurance company!! How sympathetic do you expect them to be?

I trust my family doctor much more than I do an insurance employee death panel to make that decision. If you do not trust your family doctor I'd suggest you find a new doctor.

Stop and consider what happens if your family doctor is out-of-reach and you are admitted by an emergency room. Then you become responsible for the bill. Before Obama there was no limit to care under Medicare, so there is a de facto death panel that says that you cannot get care if you are 76 unless your family doctor first signs for it. Since Medicare is paying less and less under the Democrats, many places are refusing to accept Medicare patients. Hence, you could be without a doctor.

Perhaps you remember a few years ago in Florida when ambulances refused to answer calls when the patient was over a certain age. This new Democrat plan is an echo of that situation in Florida.

I wonder if the Democrats even care?

If you do a google on the writings of Ezekiel Emanuel you will see the cold cruel logic of this administration and who will get what services and/or medical appliances.

In fact I quoted quite a few excerpts a couple of years ago (or so) from his writings and mused about the possible impact it would have on the "affordable" health care Bill.

He IMO is why we had to wait "until the bill is passed to see what is in it" (the real version that is and not the word smorgasbord on the WWW).

What do you think? Who gets the kidney transplant or the $20,000 dialysis machine when you take the debit/credit approach?

A 40 year old $200,000 a year executive or a 65 year old retiree on social security?

I distinctly remember the president using "Zeke's" own words that some hard decisions would have to be made (ProChoice euthanasia).
Well to be forthright they simply let nature take its course for the retiree.

I have to admit that his articles made cruel and heartless sense using the debit/credit approach.

BTW if the family can afford the dialysis machine then grandma can live on.

If not the death would be made as comfortable as possible.

Your family doctor will not get to make the decisions under obamacare

So you disagree with Church Mouse who said,

"Under Medicare, which is now gutted by the Democrats, if you are 76 and have a heart attack or something you cannot be admitted into a hospital without the permission of your family doctor unless you assume responsibility for the bill."
