Demonic Rattlesnake?

One event I have always wondered about happened 15 or more years ago. I was driving in the country and saw a giant rattlesnake on the road. I attempted to run it over and kill it by driving up and down that road multiple times but each attempt the snake dodged the car and stayed on the road taunting me. I found this behavior unusual for a snake as I have never seen it before so I have to wonder if the snake was possessed by a devil. I know that Devils can control animals and examples of this happen in Africa often. So what do you say? I know this sounds crazy but something kept that snake from being crushed by my car so many times I tried to run him over.

My point being it seems to me it may have been a matter of perception. I doubt the snake was taunting you. He was probably thinking "I wonder if that dude is possessed....he keeps running up and down this road trying to hit me".

....no offense. And I wasn't implying anyone here was on drugs either. Evan's story of the rattlesnake taunting him reminded me of some of the things this friend told me ......not "friend"..... as in me...but friend... as in someone other than me.....I never did drugs.....not even without inhaling.....
