If given a lie detector test, they would pass it. They actually believe they are going to heaven, but they are not. Their seed will die. They were warned to judge their heart by their fruit, but don't think it is necessary because once they deemed themselves saved, they were told they were saved.

Nothing they can do will change their state, so they don't even try. They are taught a false doctrine, therefore they die expecting to go to heaven, only to hear Jesus reject them.(Matthew 7)

They don't try because they don't do anything. They don't actively practice thier faith and deep down, they realize there is still something wrong.

It is a state that can be changed. I know, because I have. I was one of them. I wasn't "taught" this false doctrine, I made it up myself with what little knowledge I had of the scriptures. I kept collecting those seeds and finally I realized what soil I had to plant it in!

Are you on the free will end on this one? It sounds to me like you are, but for some reason I thought you were Calvinistic type Baptist.

How are you handling the sleep deprevation? I hope your child lets you sleep.

Stop with the titles!! Now I have to go and re-read the email a friend sent me telling me what a calvanist believes.

I try to stay away from titles and believe what the Bible says. Of course, as soon as I open my mouth someone wants to label me one thing or another. Ah well.

Seriously, I am trying to search the scriptures for Truth and I don't read a lot of outside materials to gather my information. I want my belief to come from the Word of God, not someone else's interpretation of it. I am not sure what my belief is called, I just know it is what I feel the scriptures are telling us.

I believe that salvation is eternal and that we are forgiven of all sins. Christ died once for all. I do not believe that you can just say a few words believe a few facts and you can commit whatever sins you want from now on. I believe that true salvation will cause one to want to serve Christ. Someone once said it this way. "I still do what I want to, but my want tos change".

So, what is this then that I believe? What title fits me the best? Am I calvanist, baptist, calvanist baptist, armenian, fruitonian, fruitloopian, or just darn wierd?

PS. The sleep hasn't been a problem, but my baby will be having surgery on the 14th of January, so keep her in your prayers!! (I also won't be around for a week or so after the 13th!)
