Did Arafat die of aids?

What, you expect me to defend the IRA?!?!?

IRA, PLO, Al-Quada, ETA, etc are all linked together, but international terrorism on a large scale was rare before Arafat/Khadafi.

I assume there must ne a point to your post. Are you now defending Arafat?

Reportedly, The New York Times carried an article on the subject Sunday. I have not seen or read it.

It is strange that the French refused to announce what the illness was or why Arafat had to be treated in France or why the cause of death did not appear on the death certificate.

There are plenty of rumors that Arafat was homosexual.
Oh please stop this. To try and bring discredit on a person, even Arafat, is like bringing false testimony, it is not in agreement with God's commandments.

If you have no clue of the cause of death, why speculate on what these causes might be?

Arafat was 75 years old, to die at that age of anything should not be a surprise. He was treated in a French hospital because France was the only country trusted to ensure his personal security, which is why he went to Percy Hospital (a military hospital) rather than the American Hospital (where celebrities usually go).

The French did not release details because it is against the law to discuss private medical details in public.

You speculate about AIDS and try to imply that Arafat would be a homosexual. You should be ashamed to accuse somebody you don't know of something you have no real clue about.

Think for a minute about ARafat's daughter. Do you have a daughter? Would she like her father to be accused of being a homosexual?

This is a disgrace for a Christian to have sunk so low.

Yes, we should let the terrorist who murdered thousands of people rest in "peace." Thanks for the sick humor today, JaG, but I seriously doubt he is "resting" in eternity with Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, and Pol Pot.
Ariel Sharon directed the murders of Sabrah and Chatilah in which thousands of innocents died, including children. Oh but these raids were carried out by the Israeli Army, therefore legal? Whereas the palestinians, armed with bricks and rocks, are terrorists? They are so demune of everything that the only thing the most desparate of them (and, I admit, the most brainwashed too) can think of is blow themselves up. Both Sharon and Arafat are reformed murderers. What comforts me is that Arafat will not go to heaven and neither will Sharon.

Well, some French minister of health--and you Europeans would know more about that than us cowboys and farmers--said that Arafat was not poisoned.

Perhaps the French are too afraid of a terrorist attack to tell the truth about what happened. Some doctors say the symptons are those of aids. The French should tell the public why Arafat had to be taken to France and what he died of.

We just do not know unless the French tell us.
Doctors in France are forbidden by law to talk about private medical details related to private patients.

He was dying of an 'undisclosed blood disease'. I heard reports on FOXNEWS analysts saying it seemed viral to them.

It has always seemed to me like he had AIDS. He went through many of the same symptoms, such as rapid weight loss and rapid health decay.

I have also heard from different Israelie publications that Arafat was a homosexual and had sexual relationships with his bodyguards. It all seems to make sense to me - an evil man in power who is extremely paranoid. The only problem is that he was also considered an Islamic spiritual leader, and in Islam, homosexuality is a cursed sin - so that would not bode well to Arafat's legacy.
And you trust the Israelis to draw a nice portrait of Arafat? They will do or say anything to throw discredit on him, including on his sexuality.
Like you point out, homosexuality in Islam is a sin as much as for us. I do not think Arafat was a homosexual at all.

think of his young daughter before you add fuel to the rumour.

From David Frum on National Review online:

'Speaking of media bias, here’s a question you won’t hear in our big papers or on network TV: Does Yasser Arafat have AIDS?

'We know he has a blood disease that is depressing his immune system. We know that he has suddenly dropped considerable weight – possibly as much as 1/3 of all his body weight. We know that he is suffering intermittent mental dysfunction. What does this sound like?

'Former Romanian intelligence chief Ion Pacepa tells in his very interesting memoirs that the Ceaucescu regime taped Arafat’s orgies with his body guards. If true, Arafat would a great deal to conceal from his people and his murderously anti-homosexual supporters in the Islamic world.

'Before airlifting Arafat to Paris, French Foreign Minister Michel Barnier promised to “stand by” him. Was that why Arafat chose to be treated in France rather in any of the fraternal Arab countries that supposedly support his movement – because he could trust the French to protect his intimate secrets?'

Too conservative for you? You are a lefty looking to pass yourself off as a conservative, I guess. Why don't you go read Ion Pacepa's book?

Don Feder in an article entitled "Will Arafat Triumph From Beyond the Grave?" says:

"When speaking of Arafat, allusions to Hitler are more than a rhetorical device.

"Born Rahman Abdul Rauf al-Qudwa al-Husseini, the man who took the name Yasser Arafat was the nephew of the notorious Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, who spent World War II in Berlin helping Hitler keep the crematoria hot. To the end of his life, Arafat kept a copy of “The Protocols of the Elders of Zion” (which inspired Der Fuhrer) on the desk of his Ramallah headquarters.

'The foregoing is all that matters here – not how much Arafat stole from the Palestinian Authority (about $1.3 billion) or what killed him (probably AIDS).'

Also reported from Don Feder,

The chief spokesman for the Vatican referred to the man responsible for thousands of deaths in the past four years alone as “the illustrious deceased.” Just think, if he’d killed ten of thousands, he’d probably be “renowned.”

The illustrious deceased LOL

Who is defending the Arafat? I merely wrote that he plays second fiddle to the Irish Catholics in the field of terrorism. Others have said that I should not have posted information that he probably died of aids from homosexual activity because, like Stalin, Arafat has a little girl. Personally, I believe that Arafat did die of aids because of the effort to suppress the cause of death.

I have already pointed out and you agreed that bombmaking experts from the IRA were at work very recently in the West Bank. I would say that the Irish Catholic terror predates the Arab terror of Arafat.

I wasn't referring to you. I agree with you. Believe Arafat died of AIDS. But you are mistaken about who was helping the Palestinians make bombs - different organization, I believe. It was the Real IRA which is a different organization than the IRA.

Sorry but I don't know the difference between the two organizations. I assume the Real IRA is the terrorists organization because they supplied the bombmakers on the Bank. By the way, I have read that homosexual practices are widespread among the Arabs--what do you think?

Yes, CMG, it seems they are. Outwardly they condemn it, but evidence points to it being a covertly widespread practice. There were many, many horror studies coming out of Afghanistan by boys who had been abused by the Taliban. Also, while the Taliban forbid the Afghanistan people from having computers, etc., there was a lot of porn found on the Talib computers, porno mags, etc. :(

And, yes, the Real IRA and IRA are separate groups, the Real IRA being the terrorist group. :(
