Raise their hands in support of a grand jury proclaimed criminal?

Whatever they did it disgraceful as well as embarrassing
To both the owners and all law abiding NFL players. Sad day for the team.

What are your thoughts?

Five football players expressed their first amendment free rights. There is nothing in their NFL players agreement with the owners that prevent them from doing so. The NFL has decided not to discipline them.

What's the big deal? Why is a 10 second peaceful protest disgraceful?

All they did was re-emphasize why I never watch football.

But they have a right to be as stupid as anyone else does.

Those clowns are supporting a cause that, because of the rioting and looting, has lost the moral high ground.

Even without the looting and rioting it has no moral high ground. That thug suffered the consequences of his own actions. Sad as it is.

What they did was under the color of the employer and the NFl, and if the NFL does nothing about this, they are bigger fools than I thought they were!

As for freedom of speech. The same cops the protect them and their stadium are forbidden to wear support bans that say they stand with Officer Wilson.

So, if one employer can demand that their employees not show whom they support, why is that another group, who counts on these cops to walk them to their cars before and after the game, do what they please?

Thirdly - in case you didn't hear about it, the Grand Jury decided not to indict the cop, which clearly shows that the cause they raised their hands for, was for a criminal who got what he deserved!

But, sometime I forget that your ITL moniker stands for I'm The Liberal, and it shows that you are not only a liberal, but what Jon Gruber says is true. Some America's will believe a lie, if it is hidden well within the agenda being pushed!

Sorry, but those five Lambs. or I mean Rams, were wrong protesting on their employers time!

And people more intelligent than you with knowledge of United States case law have opted not to punish the players. Not by the Rams, the NFL and certainly not the city of St. Louis.

It's not case law that drives these decisions. It is fear of creating more riots. Any other country wouldn't put up with these punks. China and Russia would lock em up and toss the key. Racial problems scare the cowards.

No, it's that they didn't do anything wrong and the team, the league and the city aren't going to do a thing to get them in trouble. Period.

You are a hysterical mess. Should we try to emulate China and Russia now? Is that what you would like?

Even on it's worst day the KKK was not as hateful, angry and legally blind to the laws as these so called "hands up, don't shoot" crowds.

As for China and Russia and even the nations of Islam, they may rule with an iron fist, but at least they enforce their laws. :applause:

Isn't freedom great?! Individual people can do what they please but government agents can't.

Thirdly - in case you didn't hear about it, the Grand Jury decided not to indict the cop, which clearly shows that the cause they raised their hands for, was for a criminal who got what he deserved!

By protesting they were supporting the notion that too many times unarmed young blacks are being killed by cops.

Well, I didn't personally agree with their protest, but I didn't find it disgraceful, embarrassing, or a sad day for the team.

Defending the KKK ... utterly amazing.

Yeah, it is amazing, especially when you consider that on their worst day the KKK would lynch blacks by hanging them, burn crosses in people's yards, etc.

...but according to RD2 that behavior is not as bad as holding your hands in the air.

That might be the worst false equivalency I have ever seen on this board and possibly the internet as a whole. I guess I am not shocked. You appear to be revealing who I thought you were little by little this week.

RD2 now says that The St. Louis Rams are worse than the KKK.

Have mercy Jesus. This is partially the direct result of the systemic racial prejudice exhibited by some on this board. He's fashioning himself into more and more of an extremist because that's what the "political conservatives" on this board have helped make him .
