Puh-leeze, spare me this @Silverhair type of clap trap.
There is no distinction between Jew and non-Jew in the kingdom of God, which is now, in the present, open to all His saints, regardless of race or ethnicity.
And the Spirit bade me go with them, making no distinction...Acts 11:12
and he made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith. Acts 15:9
even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ unto all them that believe; for there is no distinction; Ro 3:22
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him: Ro 9:12
For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek: for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich unto all that call upon him: Ro 10:12
where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, bondman, freeman; but Christ is all, and in all. Col 3:11
There can be neither Jew nor Greek, there can be neither bond nor free, there can be no male and female; for ye all are one man in Christ Jesus. Gal 3:28
For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all made to drink of one Spirit. 1 Cor 12:13
15 For neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.
16 And as many as shall walk by this rule, peace be upon them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. Gal 6
14 For he is our peace, who made both one, and brake down the middle wall of partition,
15 having abolished in the flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; that he might create in himself of the two one new man, so making peace; Eph 2
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice: and they shall become one flock, one shepherd. Jn 10
The title of my thread is as follows;
Do All Baptists Except IFB's Spiritualize The Bible Prophesies To Israel
Thank you for your contribution and from your comments it is obvious that your denomination takes the position that all prophecies to and about Israel are spiritual only. But this is not true. I will comment briefly about the subject for your edification. God sees Israel in three categories1) Ethnic - Symbolized by the Vine tree
2) National - Symbolized by the Fig tree
3) Spiritual - Symbolized by the Olive tree.
Society in general also has the trinitarian signature on it from this age.
1) The nations
2) Israel
3) The church of Jesus Christ (taken from the two entities above and separate from them)
1 Cor 10:32 Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
The OT is about Israel
The NT is about the church
The nations in the OT had no relationship with God.
Israel in the NT days were not a sovereign nation and was not saved
The few spiritual of Israel, called "the remnant according to the election of grace" who are in the church along with believing gentiles from all nations, preserves Israel in this age (the Israel of God) while national Israel is cast off and scattered in the nations and considered by God as gentiles as of 70 AD. Israel is dead and buried. (you do understand that the Jews ruler resisted and rejected Jesus as their Messiah and crucified him, do you not)
Note: I am using the word "saved" with the definition I have presented in a previous comment. It is the only definition I have used so far.
Now, Jesus declared the reason for his coming the first time was to fulfill all things written concerning himself in the Psalms, the law and the prophets. Search the OT prophets and you will not find any clear cut prophesies about building a church and defining it as his body in the OT scriptures. This is just a fact. The NT scriptures affirms this;
Eph 3: For this cause (forming the church as a body) I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles,
< This line is obviously new revelation and pertains to gentiles > 2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)
5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;
6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise <of the indwelling Spirit in the physical body > in Christ by the gospel:
7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world < age, meaning it was not spoken of in John 6> hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
The eternal purpose of God here revealed is that God is going to create a new body for Christ in which he can dwell in Spirit that is separate from the nations but formed from believers of his gospel from all the nations beginning with Israel. This collective body as it will be manifested individually after it is glorified will bodies like the glorious body of Jesus and will not be limited to time nor space.
Phi 3:20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
Rather than to think, as Reformed people mostly do, that you are part of Israel, understand that gentiles have been made partakers with the remnant of Israel in their spiritual blessings and are as one with them. They are unified in their standing as sons of God, having been born again.
Ephesians 3:6
That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise (the promise is the Spirit = salvation) in Christ by the gospel:
Romans 15:27
It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their (the Jews) spiritual things, their (the gentiles) duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
The remnant doctrine of Israel (which is prophesied to be in our future) will expire when all Israel, as a nation of individuals, every one, are saved.
God will destroy all unbelieving Jews in the great tribulation and there will be but a few to enter the millennium with King Jesus but they will all be saved.
Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: (please do not try to convince me that you are the spiritual Jacob)
27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Spoken at the end of our Lord's ministry on earth:
Matt 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore?
28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
There are 12 apostles and there are 12 tribes of Israel. The regeneration is the renewal of the natural state.
There is going to be a saved nation of Israel with 12 tribes on the earth and eventually all the nations will be saved entirely. So says God.
Well, there is much to know but you will never learn them because you have too many word variations and God does not teach in that manner.
