It was meant for all, or it wouldn't be in Scripture.
Of course it is meant for all
it demonstrates that as believers we are to never forget that the focus of worship is Jesus

Most have to come to faith in order to be elect. All of Gods elect will come to faith in Christ
there is great hope and comfort in that
By beginning to believe. How shall they call upon Him whom they have not believed. Romans 10:14
I don't know if I was predestined to choose or not. That'd be only a guess.Good enough for me! But you were predestined to choose and you apparently are elect.
You should be thanking God, instead, for not giving up on you. Some people get more chances than others. I THANK GOD every day that some people kept after me til I came to Jesus, & didn't give up on me & move on….
Yes, God had chosen the final destinations of all the souls He'd made Since then, some people have chosen heaven & lived accordingly in their mortal lives.Absolutely. But when people come to Him through faith in Jesus, they will find that it was all of grace; that God, in His mercy, has chosen them before the foundation of the world, and drawn them to Himself with lovingkindness (Jeremiah 31:3).
Right. And it demonstrates that we are to "open the door" & let Jesus in. We must CHOOSE to do that.Of course it is meant for all
it demonstrates that as believers we are to never forget that the focus of worship is Jesus
I do. Did you not read my post where I said I thank Jesus every day for continuing to knock on my "door' for awhile til I "got up & opened it to let Him in"?You should be thanking God, instead, for not giving up on you.
peace to you
Not withstanding the mid-application of that particular passage, I stand corrected.I do. Did you not read my post where I said I thank Jesus every day for continuing to knock on my "door' for awhile til I "got up & opened it to let Him in"?
NoMost have to come to faith in order to be elect.
Sigh, Revelation 3:20 is a plea to the lukewarm Christian, not the unregenerate pagan.Right. And it demonstrates that we are to "open the door" & let Jesus in. We must CHOOSE to do that.
Anyone, but not everyone ... whosoever believes ... whom the Father has given ... those He foreknew ... His sheep, drawn from every tribe, tongue and nation. But God has made it possible for ANYONE to come to Him thru Jesus.
Man's will is biased against God from the start:But God gave people free will to become elect or not.
This is horrible. This shows no understanding. When a person turns from truth this kind of made up religious thoughts are the sad result. Most have to come to faith in order to be elect.
So, you believe all of the "whoevers" in the Scriptures I posted are wrong? No
You are completely turned around, the wrong way. In fact, your statement is an open attempt to reject election.
What ypu you are stating is that humans save themselves, which causes God to say that he wants that human. How wrong that is should not even need explaining. Yet, that is what you are proclaiming in your twisted comment.
Not one hint of such in that verse.Sigh, Revelation 3:20 is a plea to the lukewarm Christian, not the unregenerate pagan.
Yes, salvation is by grace, which is unmerited favor.Man's will is biased against God from the start:
Romans 1:18-32
Romans 3:10-18
John 3:19-20
Psalms 10:1-11
Psalms 14
Psalms 53.
Ephesians 4:17-19.
Election is God choosing based on nothing we have ever done ( Romans 8:28-30, Romans 9:6-24, Ephesians 1:3-14, Ephesians 2:1-10, 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14, Acts of the Apostles 2:37, Acts of the Apostles 13:48, Psalms 65:4, Titus 3:4-7, 2 Timothy 1:9 )...
For nothing we could ever do would have been worthy enough to get us out of our own predicament.
Salvation is by grace alone, my friend;
Grace through election.
The Bible says that our belief on Christ was a product of God's work in us as His elect...
Again, that it was given to us, as His people, to believe on Him ( Philippians 1:29 ).
I wish you well as always.
May He bless you with the wisdom that comes from above ( James 3:17-18 ), roby, and with many good and perfect gifts.
This is just one more thing you're wrong on, out of the many you've been wrong on in this board. This is horrible. This shows no understanding. When a person turns from truth this kind of made up religious thoughts are the sad result.
This poster is going backwards.
I believe your comment is completely backwards. So, you believe all of the "whoevers" in the Scriptures I posted are wrong?
LOL, no hint? Context shows I am correct. Let's look at the whole. Not one hint of such in that verse.
