Be not deceived, evil communications corrupt good manners. What I take from this is that there is no specific person or group of persons presently trying to groom your children toward deviant sexual behavior. But, you are afraid there might be so therefore you will read these radical stories and imagine they are common.
As parents, we have a responsibility to groom our children to worship Christ and not fall in to sin. This is what I have done. I never once worried about what might happen to my children because we talk and enjoy being together as a family. I just haven't lived in fear.
I recall a missionary family who ministered in the red light district of Amsterdam talking about the relationships they were building with prostitutes. They mentioned one prostitute who they were such good friends with that they asked her to babysit their children. Do you worry she might be "grooming" those children?
I suggest people here at the BB stop reading fear mongering websites or watching fear mongering tv shows.
The Apostle prefaced the axiom with "be not deceived," because many are deceived.
