So you are going to insult me rather than address the argument, right?

I already stated the beginning and end of my stated argument. YOU no me, nor anyone on this board is qualified to judge the spiritual maturity of other believers. I do not agree with your retort about William Carey, and I have my doubts as to whether he himself would with you as well.

So then you are literally saying that one person cannot say, "Let's not call this guy to be ur youth minister because he is not spiritually mature enough yet"

It's silly quantum. You can know a tree by the fruit it bears. I have never heard anyone say that you cannot tell if one is spiritually mature or not.

Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world is to be judged by you, are you incompetent to try trivial cases?

Uh, we absolutely can make such determinations. What is that word? Novice anyone?

These that are saying you are judging luke, and condemning you for it are doing the exact same things themselves, while your judgment IMO is justified.

They don't think. Or open their Scriptures before they answer.

Keep thinking luke.

Of course not. I haven't called Luke or anyone a name, or insulted their intelligence or questioned their love for God or their salvation. Luke is causing the discord on this board and it is up to him to repent and show love to his brothers and sisters. I will not defend his behavior as you do. His insults and behavior have caused ill feelings between us and rather than scold the offendees, it is the offender that should be scolded.

Is "sower of discord" a name?

If what Luke is doing on this board is causing discord, then he is not the only one guilty.

And frankly, for one who does not judge. You certainly have made a tremendous judgement.

One could accuse you of sowing seeds of discord.

Well I've never been accused of that in the 6 years I've been on this board or received the rebuking Luke has in his few months on the board, but I guess there's a first time for everything. :wavey:

What's that old saying? "Fools rush in where angels fear to tread." Alexander Pope could not have described some of the posters on the BB any better.

I think a re/self-examination of the qualifying marks of a pastor are in order for a few of the men here.

For out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. In the multitude of words sin is not lacking.

This argument or "debate" will seeming go on and on and on in this and other posts.

Getting back to the OP I would say the reason I am not or am a Calvinist would have nothing to do with Higher intellect or spirituality.

I am not a Calvinist because I believe that all of the Bible is inspired and breathed by God, I believe the whole Bible and do not ignore any parts of the Bible; therefore it would impossible for me to be a Calvinist.

I should clarify that I am referring to the various posts by them, not just this particular thread.

Oh, so they are elitist, they believe the whole Bible, but we don't. :)

I believe the entirety of Scripture to be His Word.

I'm certain John doesn't believe we don't believe it all, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on that, I think it is a reaction to the OP.

I don't think calvinists are of higher intellect, but I do think their study to be more indepth, and their view of God to be on a higher plain of Sovereignty.

I see a couple other late posters here, too, haven't contributed to this thread, except for scoffing and scornful remarks laid upon others while attempting to look super spiritual.

Their efforts have utterly failed. :)

If I was in their Non-cal camp I would be offended by your line or reasoning. Bottom line this ....They got some very intelligent & studied teachers & pastors.

Yes john, could you clarify that earlier statement? Thanks

Perhaps the offense is not so much in the line of reasoning/interpretation of scripture, but in the delivery and attitude behind it.
