how can we be "Totally" depraved if we are in the image and likeness of God?Well, that clearly is not true and I am surprised that you would say that.
is the image and likeness of God depraved in the slightest?

You did not answer my question. Is God sinful? Are we?
Totally depraved versions of the original? You did not answer my question.
lf we are made in His image and likeness how can we be TOTALLY depraved?
you are dodging the question.Totally depraved versions of the original?
Sin destroys the image of God in people.you are dodging the question.

So you agree, James disproves free will?
Where do you find free will in the totally depraved flesh?
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:19–21 (NCPB)
It's only here, in the Holy Spirit.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Galatians 5:22–25 (NCPB)
That's why you don't have free will in the absolute sense.Just because one is saved does not mean that one is sin free.
Then he is lying? Can you control your tongue when he says you cannot?
chapter/verse please.Sin destroys the image of God in people.
we are talking two different points of theology. The entire universe was cursed at the fall. You cut the context because 1689 was saying that total depravity equaled no free will. Clearly, we have free will but free will does not mean that we don't sin by thought, word and deed.
original what Dave?Totally depraved versions of the original?
You could remove it.Are you making it easy on yourself denying it is about not being able to have proper motives behind what you think and say? There are none righteous. But you claim to be if you brag that James was wrong and you can control your tongue.
None righteous?You could remove it.
We are not. We are in Adam's image and likeness. Genesis 5:3how can we be "Totally" depraved if we are in the image and likeness of God?
is the image and likeness of God depraved in the slightest?
Removing your tongue is not being righteous, but foolish. You are the one saying if we can control our tongue, it would prove James wrong. Is that your opinion, or written in stone, somewhere?None righteous?
God made us for his glory. Sin ruins his image in us.original what Dave?
