Thanks for the scripture.Pslam 27:17-20, "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken"
Ecclesiastes 9:18, "Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good"
Romans 12:19, "Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”
Luke 11:21 “When a strong man fully armed protects his own house, his possessions are safe”.

It is an illustration. But Jesus is speaking in a way that they could understand.do you understand this literally for Christians to follow, or is Jesus here using an illustration?
you did not quote verse 21, "but when one stronger than he attacks him and overcomes him, he takes away his armor in which he trusted and divides his spoil"

It was common sense to expect the “strong man” of the house to protect his family and possessions. That would be understood by all.
The question is; does that apply to Christians today? Are we expected to protect our families? Jesus said there was no greater love than laying down your life for another.
Wouldn’t doing everything in our power to protect our families from violence be part of that great love? Even if we died? Even if we were forced to use lethal force?

Of course. The point of the “stringer man” in Jesus’ illustration was to demonstrate He had overpowered Satan with the “finger of God” in order to cast out demons.sure, but what about the stronger man who attacks and overcomes? where do we go from here? Should we not simply throw our lives and that of our familes to the Lord for His Protection?
Well, I wasn’t thinking about that possibility.I did not see a method to vote that the Bible teaches Christians can employ lethal force when acting under the authority of lawful government.
Was any of that showing up in Uvalde Texas?Pslam 27:17-20, "When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.
