That's not what JonC was saying. Put it in context of your statement "law for the proud."I nor WOTM place anyone under the Law of Moses and I am not sure where you get this.
No, you don't.
I reckon he didn't find a church that believed like he did. If all took that stance, then no church would have anybody sitting in their pews...we all see things differently.
I do not know what you mean by this, brother. If you mean that I and my positions are confusing to you then I will explain.Boy Jon C is confusing and his positions.

I believe that we, as ambassadors of Christ and workers in the field through which the ministry of reconciliation is being continued, should be urging all men to be reconciled to God. I believe that we are to communicate the gospel message to people the best way that we know how, relying on God to save. As such, I believe that we are free to use God's law, the moral law, the Law (not only the Ten Commandments, but also the Ceremonial Laws) in communicating the gospel to others.
My objection is that you claim I am anti-law in evangelism, which is far from the truth. I use the law in evangelism. Is there any part of this that you do not understand?
The book presents the only biblical method as placing men under the Ten Commandments and falsely connects failure do use this method with false conversion. It also makes several errors in interpretation by reading into text things that are not there. Several have mentioned this in the thread about the book. That makes sense. Then why do you disagree with the book "What did Jesus do"? Thanks.
I know what I *should* expect; but there's a difference between that and what I *can* expect. But Don, this church is his wives choice, not his. So what can you expect.
Sorry, Evan; doesn't matter if you disagree. The truth is, you don't submit fully to the authority of the church to which you are a member. No, you don't.
Yes my pastor does, as he had tewo earned Phd, in Theology, but he does not so much on calvinist vrs arminian, but more on why homosexuality is wrong, why inferior views on bible bad, and why jesus is the real messaih and only way to God!I envy my parents church. The pastor does not dodge controversial subjects and they told me that today he preached on Unconditional election. Jesus would have to return before the pastors at my church preached on such a topic, but then again leaning towards Arminianism I doubt they ever would. Is your church like this one a mile wide and a inch deep, or does it dive in depth on subjects?
Does your church preach on Hell and sin or does it just mention the topics, but never dives into what they really are?
Does your church teach systematic theology?

This is false.

No, it's not. You may think it's not true, but re-read your opening post, and pretend it's me writing that message. Would you tell me that I'm submitting fully to the authority of the church of which I'm a member? This is false.
Does he live the Christian way of life....is he an example?
Oh, it's true. You posted this, just upstream from here, in this very thread:
So you will abandon your church's evangelism methods for your own way of doing things. Therefore you are not submitting to their authority.
Look, we are to judge them within(church) and God judges them without. If a fellow member lives no differently than the world...I am talking about an extended period of time, then Matthew 18 needs to be used. So, the 'fruit inspector' bug has bitten you too Willis? Read Pink's bio, though in ill health, he was far from idle during those 16 years of isolation. And even if he had been idle God would not have forgotten the great works this man had already done.

Consider those you call "false churches": Would you say they've submitted fully to God?
Consider: If you submit fully to God, but then complain about certain things you don't like, have you submitted fully to God?
So here's the question: If this is the church in which God has placed you (rather than placing yourself), if this is God's church (rather than a pastor's or group of the members) -- but you disagree with them, and complain about them on public message boards ... how can you honestly say that you've submitted fully to the authority of that church? And if it's the church God has placed you in, and it's God's church, how can you honestly say you've submitted fully to God?
