I'll agree that Trump is stupid if he thinks he wants to go through all this again in a second term.

ed. I said it I stand with it. But that would be a victory of sorts for the window smashers, limo arsonists, crab town boys, and other promoters of hate, wouln't it?

I’m starting to suspect that Donald Trump may not have been right when he said, “You know, I’m like a smart person.” The evidence continues to mount that he is far from smart — so far, in fact, that he may not be capable of carrying out his duties as president.

There is, for example, the story of how Trump met with the pastors of two major Presbyterian churches in New York. “I did very, very well with evangelicals in the polls,” he bragged. When the pastors told Trump they weren’t evangelicals, he demanded to know, “What are you then?” They told him they were mainline Presbyterians. “But you’re all Christians?” he asked. Yes, they had to assure him, Presbyterians are Christians. The kicker: Trump himself is Presbyterian.

Or the story of how Trump asked the editors of the Economist whether they had ever heard of the phrase “priming the pump.” Yes, they assured him, they had. “I haven’t heard it,” Trump continued. “I mean, I just … I came up with it a couple of days ago, and I thought it was good.” The phrase has been in widespread use since at least the 1930s.

Or the story of how, after arriving in Israel from Saudi Arabia, Trump told his hosts, “We just got back from the Middle East.”

These aren’t examples of stupidity, you may object, but of ignorance. This has become a favorite talking point of Trump’s enablers. House Speaker Paul Ryan, for example, excused Trump’s attempts to pressure FBI Director James Comey into dropping a criminal investigation of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn on the grounds that “the president’s new at this” and supposedly didn’t realize that he was doing anything wrong. But Trump has been president for nearly five months now, and he has shown no capacity to learn on the job.

More broadly, Trump has had a lifetime — 71 years — and access to America’s finest educational institutions (he’s a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School, he never tires of reminding us) to learn things. And yet he doesn’t seem to have acquired even the most basic information that a high school student should possess. Recall that Trump said that Frederick Douglass, who died in 1895, was “an example of somebody who’s done an amazing job and is being recognized more and more.” He also claimed that Andrew Jackson, who died 16 years before the Civil War, “was really angry that he saw what was happening in regard to the Civil War.”

Why does he know so little? Because he doesn’t read books or even long articles. “I never have,” he proudly told a reporter last year. “I’m always busy doing a lot.” As president, Trump’s intelligence briefings have been dumbed down, denuded of nuance, and larded with maps and pictures because he can’t be bothered to read a lot of words. He’d rather play golf.

When visiting a Presbyterian Church in Iowa during the campaign, Trump put money in the communion plate. He used his charade of being a Christian simply to trick Christians into voting for him.

Having an expensive sheepskin does not necessarily make one smart--many rich and famous seem to be certified and dumb. When one gets over 70 the RAMS(random access memory) seem to be corrupted. These are symptoms of senility, dementia and other chemical imbalances of the brain. Being El Presidente has got to be taxing--mentally and physically.

Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

There are clear signs that Trump is having issues like the ones you describe. I think that's the main reason he wanted his daughter to have an office in the White House.

Obama had no common sense. He was called the amateur. He was corrupt and scandal ridden, spending most of his time on expensive vacations at taxpayers' cost. He must have set a new record for playing golf.

Well, Trump setting the records for golfing, and it's not even close.

Why do you keep bringing up Obama? He's not in office anymore.

My opinion only. Anyone intelligent enough to reach his goal of attaining the Presidency is not stupid.

Trump is on course to spend more tax dollars on weekend trips in one year than Obama did in 8 years.

Also ....

And as of week 13, Trump has spent 25 days away from the White House at another private residence, while past presidents spent far less at the same point in their term. Obama spent four days away; George W. Bush, 14 days; and Bill Clinton, zero days, according to the New York Times.

How much do Trump's trips to Mar-a-Lago cost?

I honestly do not care if the man is a Satanist, so long as he appoints pro life, strict constructionist, justices.

You are being absurd. It was said that Obama golfed more than professional golfers.

Bottom line. President Trump works hard. Obama was quite lazy in comparison.
Why do you keep bringing up Obama? He's not in office anymore.
Obama put America at great risk in a number of areas. Hopefully he will be brought to justice before too long.
There will be more revelations about the hideous things he did while in office.

Further, I believe he will be in support of the destroyers who will go on rampages this summer. He and Soros think alike.

Golfing is good exercise--if one walks and packs a golf bag.

A lot of deals are made on a golf course--perhaps more are made at the 19th hole. Do the Russians play golf?

This is not about who plays the most golf--we need a real, God fearing person in the oval office. It would be wonderful to have some real believers in the legislative bodies too.

We got who we voted for folks--why are we complaining?

The Donald cannot be very stupid--he landed the job.

Even so come, Lord Jesus.

Now Trump has hurt himself with is tweets and his mouthing off. It may take less time than normal if he keeps this type of self-destruction up.

President Trump is a survivor par excellance;

The more salvos fired at him the stronger he gets.

The more lies, deceits and fake news spread by the Marxists the bigger his base grows.

What is remarkable is that those who are trying to bring him down don't realize this.

AOBTW he will never stop tweeting. This is one of his most INTELLIGENT tactics for getting around the commie press.

Because when Obama was President, Trump tweeted 20+ times that he golfed too much and wasn't working hard for the American people.

Because when Obama was President numerous people on BB criticized him for golfing too much.

Do you think Trump walks or carries his gold bag full of clubs?

Who does that these days?

A lot of deals are made on a golf course--perhaps more are made at the 19th hole. Do the Russians play golf?

Yes they do.

And some of them are good looking

Maria Verchenova (sometimes known as Maria Balikoeva after marriage) has the distinction of being the first Russian female to play on any of the major women's tours, in Verchenova's case the Ladies European Tour. She achieved that claim to fame as an LET rookie in 2007.

Hillary won the popular vote.

Do you feel the same about Obama?

Donald Trump Is Proving Too Stupid to Be President

You post the most comical articles...

White evangelicals' support of Trump holding steady - CNNPolitics.com
www.cnn.com/2017/04/28/politics/pew-analysis...evangelicals-trump/index.html
Apr 28, 2017 - President Donald Trump's widespread support among white evangelicals is holding steady as he approaches his 100th day in office...

Common knowledge ~ middle east is paralleled Islamic states, save Israel.

A person "not" aware of a cliche' is "far from smart"? LOL

A person who does not claim to be a Biblical Scholar is "far from smart"? LOL

A person who gives his take on historical figures, and their impact, somehow becomes translated he did not recognize those people were dead.... LOL

A person who asks questions, answers questions, gives information about himself.....is...according to the article....
"ignorant", "far from smart", a "braggart", "stupid", "proud acting"......

Seriously....the author of this article is present during Trump's intelligence briefings to KNOW what language is used? LOL

Seriously....the author of this article KNOWS Trump would rather be "golfing" then doing the JOB he spent millions campaigning in seeking his JOB, when He own golfs courses that he could have played golf DAILY at his leisure? LOL

Funny. I recall Jesus asking questions, answering questions, giving information about himself.....

Funny. Author "Max Boot"... is anti-Trump, in case one did not know by reading his articles. LOL

Donald Trump has announced he is a Christian.

Funny. I can find no document of Russian born Max Boot claiming he is a Christian.

Do you really believe that Trump is God fearing?

I really believe Trump believes in God and has received the Holy Spirit into himself.

Hillary won the popular vote.

No surprise.
People surrounded by numerous scandals ARE wildly popular.
People who promise burdens endless freebies at an others expense ARE wildly popular.

Being Popular is not a requirement for being a President.

Do you feel the same about Obama?

Obama did not meet the qualifications to sit as President....and announced he was highly educated in Constitutional Law...
...thus I see him as a cheat and fraud.

Trump did meet the qualifications to sit as President....and announced his desire was to work hard at making America great again
.....thus I see him as recognizing faults and fractures that can be improved and restored to a former condition.
