Well it's been 100 posts and the OP seems to have fled.

Maybe, for all our sanity, we can shut this one down.

100 posts in less than 48 hours...lol

Fled???

I doubt it!

I can't run anymore - thanks to a weak heart and too much arthritic pain. :praying:

I can only briefly log in and out during the day, and the thread kind of took on a life of its own.

It will take me some time to sift through it all to pick up any tidbits of information that might sway me to again drink the demon rum.

40 + years ago, I never tried it with Dr. Pepper.

Why ruin the taste?

I'll let the forum figure out the taste of which.

Show me!

I don't believe there is one verse in the Scriptures that condemn any of those three.

But, they remain sin, for they are definitely out of the character and nature of Christ.

Let me get this straight- your argument against alcohol is that the Scriptures do NOT condemn it but it's wrong anyway because- what- you say so?

Well, it's easy to get 100 posts ina thread when, instead of taking the issue being discussed seriously, people post one sentence posts simply making fun of / adding to the light spirit of previous posts. When I see three single sentence posts in a row about grape juice, then I understand that those people don't even care about the discussion anymore, if they did at all. If we are to further a discussion, and actually glean things from it, we really need to keep it on track and add to the conversation, instead of take away from it.

SW, A little humor is often used to de-fuse what usually turns into brethren verbally beating up on each other.

Bingo.

My first post was intended solely for the sake of humor; it ain't like we haven't been down this road many times before.

Maybe you just need a beer, I'll buy...cause we all need one from time to time.

Ah, no thanks. I'm a temperence person myself. But go ahead and enjoy your liberty, I'll not stop you.

Apparently you are new here, or haven't been paying attention...

...If you have an opinion, or a certain practice that you follow, YOU ARE REQUIRED BY FORUM RULES to demand that everyone else conform to your way of thinking and doing things! If they refuse, you must accuse them of not believing the bible, or living in sin. If you are a temperance person, you MUST demand that all others abstain as well. It's the BB way!
