Let's say for argument sake that is true. Why do you believe taking away gun rights from law abiding citizens is the answer? Further, how does doing that address the issue of why these things happen in the first place?

Also you want to get rid of guns but you support politicians and a party whose platform is the slaughter of unborn children. How do you reconcile those?

I'm passing along a blog by my favorite Arminian, Roger Olson, who holds that a principle of debate should be "do not impute to others beliefs you regard as logically entailed by their beliefs but that they explicitly deny."

"There is no logical fallacy in saying that a person's belief logically entails a belief they do not hold. Logical fallacy only appears when it is said that because the person holds belief A he or she must also hold belief B which is explicitly denied."

There is a fine line here.

If someone suggested all democrats advocate abortion they would be wrong. Many are pro-life.

But members can ask how Democrats (one who supports the DNC either financially or by vote) reconcile supporting abortion when it is not in accord with their personal values.

The answer will probably be one of priorities. That is why I will never vote Democrat regardless of the candidate.

Yea, I have not broken any posting rules. Again if you support the party you support the platform. The platform of the DNC us unfettered abortion.

Let's have your numbers and where you get them from.

Remember your statement this is is based on: "So-called "law abiding citizens" have killed more people in domestic (US) gun violence than have died in all of our wars." These numbers would assume, in the way you posted them to back you up, that those deaths are caused by "so-called 'law abiding citizens.'" It appears hard to find the numbers on how many of these are cleared by self-defense or "justifiable homicide," (including police shootings) and how many are done in gang violence, robberies and rapes to silence the victims, and just a desire to kill, as in the "shooting sprees."

And according to the New York Times (yukk), " When Americans think about deaths from guns, we tend to focus on homicides. But the problem of gun suicide is inescapable: More than 60 percent of people in this country who die from guns die by suicide" [ Gun Deaths Are Mostly Suicides]. Obviously there are many methods of suicide, but the gun-to-the-head is probably seen as the surest way. And suicide is technically illegal-- but survivors of suicide attempts are not sentenced to prison, but psychiatric treatment, if anything.

But all this does wipe out your contention that it is law-abiding citizens causing all the gun deaths, as you so obviously try to indicate.

The only one of those schmoos that stands any chance is Biden, & he's shot his own foot several times already, especially by saying he'll raise taxes on the middle class, something not lost on the Trump campaign.
