Did you know the lead actor was a homosexual in real life?
Was the Brady Bunch advocated, promoted by a "Christian" company about a "Christian" experience about "Christians" martyred for Jesus Christ and being promoted by Christian churches and groups?
Not really. Just pointing out how easy it is for the brethren to fall into the trap of being pharisees.Comparison of apples and oranges. Sad.
I agree. This is sad, and unfortunate. However, I base films what I see on whether they're quality films or not. This appears to be a quality film, so I have decided that I will go see it. I myself do not look to the film industry for the Gospel (though there is no shortage of people who do indeed look to the media for the spiritual and base their views thereby), and do not expect this film to have any impact whatsoever on my personal relationship with God.Originally posted by Scott J:
John, This guy isn't a private person that sins. He is someone who openly flaunts his sin, claims it as a lifestyle, and promotes that lifestyle.
Then don't go see it. I support your conviction 100%, and applaud you for it. However, I would hope you permit me the same liberty I permit you, and not think less of me if I choose to see it.This really isn't a gray issue for me.
Then I take it that you don't watch TV at all? Or watch any movies.. How about read a magazines?Originally posted by Linda64:
Knowing that one of the actors is a homosexual and supporting such a movie would be a sin to go and watch it. In this way, you are supporting the sin of homosexuality, from which we are told to SEPARATE.
Sin can always be SKEWED and excused to merit support of it by those who desire to support it.You see, ANYTHING can be skewed into anything you want it to be.

People that try to justify it, and people that claim it's not Christian when in fact what they really mean is they don't do it, so it must not be ok.Originally posted by LadyEagle:

Mine says Jesus ate with publicans and sinners, while not supporting their sin. The Pharisees spoke against him for this. What does your Bible say?
