I know my standing on Eternal Security. I'd like to hear everyone else's views. After Salvation are we saved eternally, or can we lose it?

My salvation is 100% of God. I can't lose something that God has.

And when He gave me "everlasting" life, I take Him at His word, that's he's not going to lie about it!

IF God is sovereign, then I am saved for eternity. The bible says where sin is grace is greater, meaning you can't out sin God's grace. If you can loose your salvation, then grace isn't free, and God isn't sovereign.

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand. 30 I and My Father are one."

Amen, Donna!

YOU DON'T THINK THAT YOU CAN WALK AWAY FROM IT?

Preacher RON
Let the Bible speak:

Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea; Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me. Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
This verse isn't only about inception of any man. It is talking about the fact that God is involved in all aspects of His people's lives, beginning from eternity past when He wrote down their names to the "present days" of their lives to eternity future.

If man could obtain salvation for himself, then he could lose it himself. But as it stands, we are saved by God Himself. How can man undo an act of God?

You better read this, if that's what you think!

Romans 6

1. What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2. God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

</font>[/QUOTE]So you think grace isn't bigger then our sin? We can out sin God's grace? I never said we are to keep on sinning, you seem to be assuming that.
Maybe you should read this
Ro.5:
20Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound21That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Let me ask this then, lets just say if I went back out in the world, and started living just anyway that I wanted to, doing the thangs that the world does, do you think that I would still be saved, and go to heaven ?

I sure don't think so, I don't only think, I know that I wouldn't !

Ron, what you and I think doesn't matter. JESUS told us that no one can pull us from the hand of God!

I'll take HIS word for it!

I would not say this person would loose thier salvation, but I would question if they'd ever been saved. I think this is a different topic though. Jesus assures us He will not loose us, He is able to keep those who are His, those who belong to Jesus will face no comdemnation, we have escaped the wrath to come because of Jesus.

Well said Donna!
1 John 2:19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us; but they went out that they might be made manifest, that none of them were of us.
