Jesus came to us in His humanity so that we could share in His Divinity.

In the Eucharist we are divinised to share in God’s immortality, Christ’s Flesh and Blood gives Eternal Life to our flesh and blood.

“ He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has Eternal Life and I will raise him up on the Last Day ‘

“ And so he who eats me, will live because of me “

Humans are not complete as only spirits, we are both body and spirit, and our bodies are given life as well by receiving Jesus Flesh and Blood for its Eternal Life.

Unfortunately, in the Roman Catholic Church, you are deprived of the blood of Christ in the Eucharist. Only the priest partakes of the wine. This is a terrible shame, to receive only half of the communion elements.

The RC Church teaches "concomitance," meaning Jesus is fully present—body, blood, soul, and divinity—in both the bread and the wine, so receiving only the host (bread) is sufficient.

But that contradicts what Jesus said and did. He said you have to eat His body and drink His blood, and He had His disciples eat the bread and drink the wine.

And it is NOT the wedding feast or marriage supper of the Lamb.

The Marriage Supper or Wedding Feast of the Lamb, described in Revelation 19:6-9, is the final, celebratory banquet marking the eternal union between Jesus Christ (the Lamb/Groom) and his Church (the Bride). It symbolizes the culmination of redemptive history, victory over evil, and the start of a joyous, undisturbed fellowship in heaven.

Also. Be careful not to lump the Catholic Church into being only the Latin Rite. Eastern Rites of the Holy Catholic Church often receive the Body and Blood that has been mixed and is given to each communication by a spoon that is flipped over on the tongue.

Also, these Eastern Catholic priest are often married.

The time-honored Catholic practice of receiving only the consecrated host contradicts the correct practice called Utraquism. The name comes from the Latin word utraque, meaning “both.” This means everyone is obliged to receive both the consecrated host and the Precious Blood to be saved.

Utraquism is based on the words of Jesus in John 6:53: “Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.” The proponents of this said that they should be able to receive both species whenever and wherever they wanted. Again, the present practice by many, many Catholic diocese is to have communion offered under both species. I am Catholic, I go to mass and receive both the body and blood each day at mass whether I receive from the cup that is offered or only receive the host.

Some parishes, usually in order to prevent the spread of sickness, give communion under one species. That hasn't needed to happen in my diocese. When you say 'Roman' Catholic, you are lumping all Rites of the Church into one. There is the Latin Rite which you are more familiar with and then MANY Eastern Ries, all of which have married priests and offer both bread and wine in communion.

The body contains the blood and in both The Divinity resides.

The Eucharist is Jesus Himself Body, Blood , Soul and Divinity.

Eyes betray, Head betrays but the Soul sees Jesus, “ It is the Lord!!! “, our souls always recognise Him.

Eyes look elsewhere, Head occupies itself with many things, but the Soul is always perfecting in its longing for Jesus, always watching for Him.

You might want to edit your post to say that in SOME Catholic Churches the faithful receives communion under one species. Instead, you have made a statement which encompasses the whole Catholic Church. Did you read the article?

I believe you. I think Martin Luther was very opposed to priests being the only ones who drank the wine at Eucharist. But if some Catholic Churches provide the bread and the wine to the members, that is fantastic!

I believe you. I think Martin Luther was very opposed to priests being the only ones who drank the wine at Eucharist. But if some Catholic Churches provide the bread and the wine to the members, that is fantastic!

Anglicans also joined in the dissent. In fact, one of their 39 Articles addressed this concern. I understand why for many years the Latin Rite practiced communion under one species. I am also glad the Latin Rite has dioceses which offer the option to receive from the sacred cup as well. As I said, The Eastern Rites have always received under both species.

We take the next world by the great violence of our longing.

But I do not want to say any great things about myself. The only thing that makes me great is our Lord Jesus Christ's death on the cross. Because of Christ's sacrifice on the cross, it is like I have also died. The things that belong to this world have become dead to me, and I have become dead to them.

The Eucharist is the start of the joyous undisturbed fellowship in Heaven.
It is the foretaste of Heaven.

What is Heaven but the mutual abiding of God and man.

In Israelite custom people were not married until they abided together.
The Covenant of marriage is sealed by abiding together.

Same with Christ and His Bride the Church, the mutual abiding happens at the Eucharist.

What happens in the Eucharist is timeless and Eternal even though it happens in time.
It is the New and Everlasting Covenant.

I have had the spiritual experience of this, but I can’t explain it.
I leave all the theologicals for the Church to explain this.
But I don’t think any theological explanations do justice to the experience of this.
It comes down to tasting and seeing that the Lord is Good. It comes down to experiencing it.

A man can only be explained to so far, like explaining a menu, but finally he must eat.

Many make their excuses not to come to the feast, refusing the invitation, the real reason is they don’t have the garment of faith to attend the banquet.
They don’t believe Jesus flesh is real food and blood is real drink, it is foolishness to them.

Just as there is only one passover for Israel where all Israel gathers past, present and future.
There is only one Eucharist where all Christians are gathered past present and future.

Our lives play out in time, but in the Eucharist we are all gathered at the same banquet. Past, present and future in the bounds of time but also into Eternity.

For those who live now, the invitation is sent to you now.

“ And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to myself “

I sometimes go to a Lutheran Church couple blocks away from me, they serve both the body in the blood via wine to the congregation each week and that’s important.
