The main ways I witness is by handing our tracts every where I go,I also do a lot of door to door, of course everyone once in a while I engage someone randomly at a Walmart or something of that nature.

How about you?

What methods do you use to win the lost?

What do you do on a regular basis for evangelism?

What have you done this past week for evangelism?

Thanks Jordan for this thread. What I do on a regular basis is hand out tracts all the time, place them on cars, give them in restaurants, and such. That is what I have done this past week. However this weekend (Lord willing) I plan to hit the streets and not only pass out tracts, but have a conversation with as many as are willing, and do some open air preaching, but this time hold a crowd and a easy way to do this is to hand out money which I plan to do to get people interested in the 10 commandments.

I normally use The Way of the Master and or tracts by associated ministries that are LAW based. However sometimes I use tracts associated with Fellowship Tract League (FREE OF CHARGE). I also use Grace to You Tracts, Chic Tracts, Good News Tracts, Pocket Gospel's, Gideons, and such.

My Grace to You and John Piper tracts are Calvinist based.

Grace sells their tracts in packs of 100. Its probably the most through of all the gospel tracts that I have.

Please do not place tracts on peoples cars. First, if I come out of a store and find you touching my car, I will [hyperbolic threat removed].

Second, tracts (and advertisements) that are put on cars all end up as litter. If you place tracts on cars you contribute to littering our world.

And you will go to jail for assault and battery. Believe me I have put one person in jail, and greatly humbled a "Charismatic pastor" for harassing me while doing evangelism. The police got on the pastor and he apologized.

My point is that I have the freedom to pass out gospel tracts and place them on cars in public areas.

And contrary to what you said:

Your freedom stops where my nose begins.

People place advertisements on cars all the time as it can be done on public property. If Matt assaulted someone whom placed a tract on his car he would go to jail.

No, you don't have the freedom to touch someone's private property.

On public property and streets yes people can place advertisements and tracts. Matt I suggest you call the police and ask them these questions so you do not land in jail one day for assaulting another evangelist in Florida.

the tract I mainly use is Ray Comfort's tract Are you a good person, it's a 4 fold tract.

I use only Law based tracts whenever possible.

Recently I have been growing dissatisfied with the gospel tracts that are out for a few reasons.

The obvious lack of not using the Law to convict sinners, however I have problem with the Way Ray Comfort encourages sinners to get saved, I don't like the phrase "Turn from your sins" because it sounds like a work if you do not properly explain the phrase, Ray Comfort's plead to come to Christ sounds like works salvation, for example he says in one tract along the lines of:"You should come to God with the attitude determining never ever to think about sinning again" This can be heavily misleading, Ray Comfort in his zeal against Easy Believing I think may mislead people to works salvation.

Because of this I wrote my own tract.

I am having a art major friend of mine give it a professionally looking design and I will then be seeing what I can do about getting it printed.

I would be glad to email you the text if you are interested and when I get it in print I would be glad for you to use it if you so desire.

You should check your facts on that. Just because a vehicle is on a public space does not make the vehicle public property and certainly doesn't give you the right to do anything to it. By your logic, I can paint on cars that are on public property.

My apologies

I should not have replied to Matt. A christian needs to be as wise as a serpent and as harmless as a dove. Satan is trying to derail this thread.

But thats harming the vehicle. If someone tells me not to place a tract on it, I won't. But placing a tract on a car is legal.

Tracts for cars

When someone touches my property I can and will stop them from doing so.
First, E-6 is right, you are derailing the thread.
Second, two wrongs never make a right--good principle for you to learn.
Third, even if someone touches your car, there is no law, not U.S., and certainly not God's law, that gives you an excuse to commit assault and battery.

I have that tract and love it. Yes Jordan email me this tract.

However I think the best theologically accurate tract in print is this one.

You cant even paint on buildings that are on public property...

You can leave literature on cars, just like you can leave literature on doors, which I believe the JW's went to court for us to have the right to do.

If you can leave literature on a door of a house, then you can on a car.

Are you really going to sit on here and nitpick someone leaving the gospel on a car? You need to repent.
