Excellent example of a Calvinist Church big on evangelism

so human interaction only means communicating with words?

I went to an Arbies a few weeks ago, I handed them a box of donuts and some tracts... but I was heading to church so I did not have time to converse, and since they were at work neither did they.

Do you believe in situations like this, Jesus would not use a gospel tract? do you think he would just let them stay on there way to hell because it isn't possible to interact with them and take them away from their job?

Come on EWF...

I'm sure the early church would have utilized tracts had they access to them in their time.

I mean... The N.T. epistles basically are gospel tracts..

Romans is basically one gospel tract.

if people thought like you back then, we wouldn't even have most of our New Testament. Paul and other writers used letters and text to communicate the truths of God to eachother when it was not possible for them to actually see them face to face.. What I and many others do with Gospel tracts is very much the same

Amen!! Good job Jordan. You gave me an idea perhaps I need to stop by Arbies with some tracts in my area.

What a garbage post. So sad...

I want you to know that I appreciate your thoughtful and kind response. I now feel I am better for it and have a much better perspective on this issue because of it. May we all endeavor to raise our responses to this level and express our concerns with this level of compassion, intelligence, and insight.

Clearly you have not let your emotions drive the nature of your response.

Jesus is not pleased with the attitude and things many on this thread are saying.

Where is the charity and humility on the part of many of you?

Let me remind you that every single one of us deserves to be burning in a lake of fire for eternity, and we only are what we are by the grace of God, have some patience and charity towards one another, God knows he had patience and charity towards you.

Not a huge fan of tracts, but David Hogan used to pass them out and some kid found one on the ground at the right time. He got saved because of the spark the tract provided. Anything and everything to save one lost soul is worth it.

I thought about Evan's street preaching too. I repent of my opinions on that. If somebody passing by seemingly ignores him, but thinks about it later, maybe they will be saved too.

Tracts have their place, but they are not something by which to judge the evangelism ministry of a church.

It would be like me driving by Evan's house and seeing that the bushes were not trimmed to suit me and determining he no longer loves his wife.

I don't think it is a very fair comparison to passing out tracts and men being inspired by HS to write the New Testament.

And you are, of course, 100% correct. They do not even share a common target audience.

Am I the only one thinking that Evan's posts read like they were written by someone with too much Mike's Lemonade in their system? Seems like a higher level of boldness and rudeness.

Fully agree!!!!
There could be reasons that tracts are not readily available on the wall. Could be too many bus kids were taking them and not properly using them.

Could be other reasons.

BTW - So I get a rabbit for exposing the truth?

That idea has crossed my mind on several occasions. Sometimes Mikes would be the benefit of the doubt. But he has said that he no longer drinks alcohol.
