Ok I said nothing of the sort. What you have posted here and what I asked about are so different they are not even in the ball park. However:

Rom 10:9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
Rom 10:11 For the Scripture says, "Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame."
Rom 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on him.
Rom 10:13 For "everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
Rom 10:14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?
Rom 10:15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!"
Rom 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?"
Rom 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Well what about those who don't hear? They going to hell?

I know people who have been saved through gospel tracts.

The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation, and the word of God is a sharp two edged sword... whether it's word of mouth or paper.

As for you throwing a gospel tract in the garbage, I think your attitude towards that is sad.

unless it was a JW tract, then please throw it in the garbage.

My point is that this guy didn't even ask me if I was a Christian before he stuck the track in my face.....there was zero human interaction. So is this how your attempting to emulate Christ? By handing out tracts?

Do you think it is fair to judge the use of tracks based on how one single person did it with you?

You used it first, I just responded to exactly what you said. Use it however you want too.

What's the matter....cant you give me your own definition of it? After all, you are the Reverend ....and I'm the mere seeker for truth. In any event, I eagerly await your scholarly interpertations and embellishments.

so human interaction only means communicating with words?

I went to an Arbies a few weeks ago, I handed them a box of donuts and some tracts... but I was heading to church so I did not have time to converse, and since they were at work neither did they.

Do you believe in situations like this, Jesus would not use a gospel tract? do you think he would just let them stay on there way to hell because it isn't possible to interact with them and take them away from their job?

Come on EWF...

I'm sure the early church would have utilized tracts had they access to them in their time.

I mean... The N.T. epistles basically are gospel tracts..

Romans is basically one gospel tract.

if people thought like you back then, we wouldn't even have most of our New Testament. Paul and other writers used letters and text to communicate the truths of God to eachother when it was not possible for them to actually see them face to face.. What I and many others do with Gospel tracts is very much the same

So you don't think the Apostle Paul was serious when we wrote the book of Romans, or 1st and 2nd Corinthians, Galatians, Colossians, Ephesians, 1st and 2nd Timothy, Philemon, Titus, or 1st and 2nd Thessalonians?

if this is really how you think, then throw out half your New Testament because the apostle Paul wasn't serious..

Keep giving out tracts...people will keep throwing them in the garbage. But printers need the work.

I don't think it is a very fair comparison to passing out tracts and men being inspired by HS to write the New Testament.

The NT is not a string of tracts. The vast majority was written to believers. Paul wrote to the Saints at Rome, and said it was his desire to preach the gospel to them.

And the gospel is not at all a "turn or burn" message, prevalent in tracts

Tracts are evangelism for those who cant talk to people.

Luk 13:3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.

Luk 13:5 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish."

Luk 13:27 But he will say, 'I tell you, I do not know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of evil!'
Luk 13:28 In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth,.......

Let me tell you what a track does for most people. It gives them a reason to have to find a trash can. Giving most people a track is like trying to win a Catholic to the Lord using the Romans Road bot of which are about as useful as an elevator in in outhouse.

What a garbage post. So sad...

Me and Jordan disagree on Calvinism but agree very much on evangelism.
