Hey, mcdirector, I had to click on the "Friends of BB" again, after I got to the group page - then click on request to join - and then a confirmation box popped up. The "request" link at the main (or first) page did not prompt me when clicked. This must be why you had no record of my request. Thanks for the help! :)

There is a group of BB members growing on Facebook. One painful lesson I have learned and rightly so, is that harsh words on here can come back to bite you when you meet someone face to face (in a internet sense), you see their picture, their families, and their beliefs/interests. It will soften your tone even in disagreement.

I have already been bit once, and take it as a sign to tone down my wording sometimes. If you do not want it said face to face, do not say it that way.

Any thoughts?
Amen, Brother SatNep -- Preach it!

I found out about the second year on-line (it was 1986, my second year on-line) that if you pray for a good success for somebody every day for a month -- in a month you will NOT WANT TO MESS UP YOUR PRAYER by being ugly.

God Bless you, SatNep!

BTW, I am Edward Edwards on Facebook

I have applied on facebook under the name jon magee

Hi Jon! Welcome to the BB. I got the FB request, but joining is quirky and when I went to approve your membership, you weren't there.

So, please send another request. This has happened several times AND sometimes, it takes several times :)

Welcome again!

Roger, I did a search on the FB members and Jon isn't showing up. (that's usually how I know that you got to one first ;) )

Of course, I could be blind - not the first time. Someone double check for me please :D

Now thats funny. Believe it or not I have not had any notification of being approved yet. I will take a look there shortly.

BTW, do I break any rules if I refer to the fan page on facebook for my published book called "From barren rocks to living stones"? The book is a memoire of 18months of my teenage experiences in 1966/67 in Aden. (Aden is in the south of what is now known as Yemen). As it relates to a part of Yemen and its history at the latter part of the British presence, it does include a lot of pictures of that part of the world and a lot of the "fans" as facebook once called them are from the middle east and the muslim world. It would be good to see more of you guys coming on board as well.

Can you advise if this is acceptable within your rules?

I am away this coming week, so do not know when I can look in here, but hop someone can explain what is happening. If I have done something wrong perhaps someone could let me know.

Jon, I don't know what's going on, but you are still listed as a member of the BB group on FB.

A very good observation. That is why I generally have a picture of myself on here, Facebook, Xanga, etc. I want to remind others - and myself - that we are real persons, not cyber-persons that we can abuse at will.
