I'm not a JW, disappointed ?
No, I was giving you your own words back. Maybe you forgot. No problem.

Since we're on the subject, What baptist movement denomination are you? Doesn't sound like your theology is sound at all to say that !

Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

It doesn’t sound to me like you know your Bible when you ask.

Apart from Baptist, I’m not part of any denomination, so you’re going to have to give me multiple choices before I know what you are talking about. Maybe it will help if you can answer the same question. What denomination of Baptist are you?

since Christ is the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, salvation in the OT was not planned any differently

Revelation 13:8
And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
You seems extremely confused about prophesy, from the foundation and this is proof that you are. What makes you think that verse has anything to do with salvation of OT folk??? That is talking about worshipping the beast, the anti Christ. IF you read back to verse 2 talking about the beast, and on to 16 about having the mark on thier right hand or thier foreheads tell us that. Names not written in the book of life, The lamb slain from the foundations of the world, Genesis 3:15.... How someone can take something like that completely out of context, is beyond me.
It doesn’t sound to me like you know your Bible when you ask.
I never asked you anything. I'm responding to someone else's thread.

I always been attending non denominational churches. How long have you been reading the bible ?

All men aren't given the ability to believe on Christ, for God hides truth about Christ from them. Jesus indicates this a couple of times, when giving thanks to the Father saying Matt 11:25,26

25 At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes.

26 Even so, Father: for so it seemed good in thy sight.

This is according solely to Gods own good pleasure !

And again its indicated in Jesus own words Matt 13:10-11

10 And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

To them that are lost, the Gospel is hid 2 Cor 4:3

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

These will not be given Faith to believe in Christ through the Gospel, because they're lost ! 35

you didn't answer my question, but that's ok. Had to put you on my ignore list
Sorry, but I’m not sorry for bringing shadows of doubt into your false doctrines. The fact is that it has been faith all along and not works. It’s too bad when you hear too much truth that you have to ignore it in order to maintain your belief system.

I admitted I was off and got on track, it's easy to do when it's not recapped, so ease up, ok ?? The vast majority of Christians really don't have the time to thoroughly study. Although the NT is what we are living in, and the gospel of Christ is preached, not Judaism.

You have a statement from God that says that He desires to punish some more than others? I don’t see that. I see the opposite.
Plenty of cannon on the law not obeyed is punishment or death, go back and recap.

Well, since Christ is the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world, salvation in the OT was not planned any differently.
and this isn't misrepresented doctrine ?? That you stand on ? Think you need to go back and reread that chapter form he beginning.
Revelation 13:8
says from the foundations of the world verses what you said.. before the foundation of the world. Names not written in the book of life, of the Lamb slain, from the foundation of the world. Genesis 3:15 talks about the messiah. Again Rev. 13:8 is about the beast.

Ezekiel 33:11
Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?

It looks pretty clear to me. God knew from the beginning what would obtain salvation. Why should it be any different. The OT saints were waiting for the Savior. Why did they need a Savior if they could work their way? And man needed a Savior early in history. God didn’t just come up with the idea of Jesus dying on the cross right before it happened.

From the foundation of the world is the beginning of the world. Sorry if I was off a couple seconds.

Just because he has no pleasure in it doesn’t mean he’s not a just God. Case in point… hell.

I’ll give you one free be… Leviticus 20. Read it for yourself.

The Faith that Pleases God is Wrought by Christ Alone

To rightly understand the nature of true spiritual belief, we must look at who produces it. Scripture explicitly declares that it is strictly by Christ that we believe in the True God. Look at the definitive text in 1 Peter 1:20–21:

“Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.”
The Greek text uses the phrase di' autou (δι’ αὐτοῦ), meaning through Him or by means of Him. This means Jesus Christ is the sole causal author of our belief.

This truth completely redefines how we must read the famous declaration in Hebrews 11:6:

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Man’s religion isolates Hebrews 11:6 to argue that faith is an autonomous human condition that a dead sinner must perform to make God happy. But when you synthesize this with 1 Peter, the conditionalist framework completely collapses.

If it is impossible to please God without faith, and if the only way anyone can believe in God is by, through, and because of Jesus Christ, then the faith that pleases God is an absolute gift of sovereign grace!

The Author and Finisher of Our Faith

To hammer this home permanently, look at the explicit title given to the Savior in Hebrews 12:2:

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
The Holy Spirit leaves no room for human coordination here:
  • The Author (Archēgos): He is the chief leader, the pioneer, the originator, and the sole source from which our faith flows.
  • The Finisher (Teleiōtēs): He is the completer, the perfecter, and the one who brings that faith to its successful, absolute consummation.
Christ did not merely die to make salvation a possibility if our natural will cooperates. He was foreordained, manifest in time, raised from the dead, and glorified for a specific, successful purpose: so that your faith and hope would infallibly be in God. Jesus doesn't stand by waiting to see if you will supply the condition; He is the sovereign King who authoritatively creates the faith in His elect and perfectly finishes it. We do not supply the faith to activate the cross; the cross successfully secures and bestows the faith to the elect! 35
