Do you want to join the FWBC faithbook page? ( Steve Anderson, pastor),
you must answer three questions:

1. Why do you want to join FWBC Listeners?

2. Are you born again? Explain how.

3. Where do you go to church? (Full name, city, and denomination)
You certainly wouldn't want heathens to listen to you mangle the word of God to your destruction...

Regarding #1, it sounds like he is trying to control criticism and keep out those who are already not prone to revere him.

Regarding #2, it sounds like he wants personal information so he can either evangelize you properly, or use your story for his purposes.

Regarding #3, it sounds like he wants a way to strike back at his critics through their churches, or possibly, he's trying to identify a network of like-minded churches for some broader purpose.

I would be wary about requiring home church info. Some people have been known to take internet arguments into real life.

I agree with your sentiment and word of caution, but I just want to point out that "internet arguments" are real life. Most of the time, real people are behind the names and handles we see here, and the name-calling, venom and threats expressed on the internet occur because of the lack of social constraints that people feel when they are simply ranting at faceless names on the internet.

If you wouldn't say it to a person's face in front of witnesses to whom you are accountable, then don't write it on the internet.

I agree with Baptist Believer. And let me add that most of the information given when you signed up for the Baptist Board is available only to Administrators.

I think it was on here that he called me Jezebel. But I can't be sure. He's a nut job with a capital N!

To bad that people think they can speak and write without fear of rebuke.

There is no shame and decency in using verbal skills in that manner.

It really comes down to a lack of education, or perhaps education has neglected standards.

I still wonder what Jesus meant from the fig tree He cursed for not bearing fruit, that Anderson preaches as Israel forsaken by God, according to him.

There is that part, because typically the figs bore fruit multiple times a year and while leafing.

It was symbolic (not for the tree though) that God appointed the tree to not have fruit allowing Christ to curse it as a symbol. There is that particular consideration that the Jews are cursed with a certain death to preserving the Gospel, and also would suffer during this time.

I don't do facebook.

Have no desire to do facebook

Think facebook far too overrated.

So, sites such as this, completely useless to me.

Depends what you're using it for. There are several Christian groups on Facebook that are excellent. The moderators in those groups are outstanding.

The questions in the OP aren't unusual. Some ask you to affirm certain doctrines or, at least, promise you won't make trouble.

I've never seen one ask for the name of your church, since most of the Christians there already include it in their profile.

This is the dude who stated he actually worships the KJV. From what I've seen of his "ministry", his "church' appears phony as a Chevy F-150.

Would you consider those as reasonable questions to prospective members to join your page?
I don't see anything unreasonable about the questions, and it is their group, by the way, so they get to decide which questions are important to them.

Being banned apparently didn't improve his disposition it seems.

He apparently doesn't care what anyone says about him. He has been banned from at least 5 countries. One of them was Great Britain. It's all about the attention he craves. He is a holocaust denier, has his family wear "Free Palestine" t-shirts. He is absolutely OBSESSED with homosexuals. One of his early sermons was "pissing upon the wall". While he did take it from scripture, He turned that into a rant. He has hundreds of YT Videos and I'm guessing that at least 80% of it is gay bashing in the extreme.

He has publicly stated that homosexuals should be put to death.

Just to top it off, he is a KJVO.

Far as I'm concerned, that man is a disgrace to the Baptist faith.

And, he claims to actually WORSHIP the KJV!

(Don't believe me? Just Google it!)

Yep - John 1:1 tells us the Word is God - so the KJV is God.

My curious self googled it and none of the videos or links say that "I worship the KJV Bible!" or any similar lines from him, as far as my listening ears are concerned.

But feel free to point it out to me anyways. And as you read this, brethren, I am still searching for that sermon. Lol
