FBI: Over Four Times More People Stabbed to Death Than Killed with Rifles of Any Kind

Folks, check out David's location. He lists Kent. That being one of the Home Counties. He doesn't say where in Kent. It's like Connecticut's relation to NYC. Some is close in suburb. Other parts are fairly rural. From the way he writes, I'm guessing David lives in the more rural parts of Kent.

Stabbed to death with what...knives, forks, ice picks, screw drivers, sharpened sticks blah blah

FYI: DON'T underestimate the knife...especially against a holstered gun. A holstered gun can be a false sense of security against an opponent experienced with a knife. I've watched FBI training videos that gave this very same 'safe distance' for reaction time - 21 ft. Safe distance would be even longer with a concealed carry holster.

I would prefer an edged weapon to a firearm for multiple target closed or close quarters combat.

Yes I am in Whitstable Kent, by the sea.. We did have a murder here a few years ago, but someone was coshed. We had an acid attack a few weeks ago but that was a drugs dispute. We have had three suicides in the last 5 years or so, all of them on the same pedestrian rail crossing. There is a gate to cross with a notice that says "STOP, LOOK, LISTEN" The first was the wife of a man who owned the local seaside gift shop, named Sundae Sundae, also do nice ice creams. The second was the owner of a restaurant about 100 yards along the same street. The third may not have been suicide, was a teenage girl. i can'rt remember the official verdict but there was conjecture that she may have been listen to music on her headphones. There was a case long before my time here, but some in our church remembered where a man hung himself in a church kitchen. (Not our church)

In the past there was a great deal of smuggling, or 'free trade', as it was called and.those that were caught were usually hung.

London is a more violent place than it used to be. My grandma and aunt lived in a apartment block in an inner London Borough. When we visited as children they knew most of the neighbours and kept their doors open and the neighbours used to pop in to see my gran who was blind and bedridden. Long before my aunt died, she had to have security chains, bolts and a Chubb lock fitted, and no longer knew any of the neighbours.

I have already replied to that nonsense

Well, the question is that the British are threatening to ration healthcare due to financial problems and their targets are smokers (probably meaning tobacco, not drugs, huh?) and obese people (not people who are alcoholics, drug addicts, or people who engage in very risky sexual practices). So you can see the politics of the British.

And then the British have never had a Bill of Rights and God-given rights are something that the British have never enjoyed, only state-given rights apparently, as in the state gives you medicine as the state sees fit. We have already seen the example of people denied dialysis at a certain age in Britain.

But here is the really strange thing that the British are saying: Americans, you have elected Trump/Hitler so now what you need is strict gun control as Hitler had in Germany and as African-Americans have in Chicago, not to mention the communist states of Latin America where only the authorities have guns.

Are they saying that? Do you have any support for that assertion?

Suicide by train seems horribly selfish and inconsiderate. Look at all those who are inconvenienced.
