Young boys need to be taught by strong fathers. Mamas raise mama's boys. Why are women not a good role model for boys?
When it comes to one's standing before Christ, all humanity is divided into 2 groups, the saved and the unsaved, and the saved group all hold exactly the same fully redeemed standing before our Lord. However, the above verses are silent concerning differing roles, in the family or in the church. While they offer important truths, they do not seem especially relevant to the specific topic of this thread.[Gal 3:26-28 NKJV] 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
If Sunday School was a good thing, wouldn't scripture mention it? Why not have kids with their parents at church?
Sunday School is not usually simultaneous with the sermon....If Sunday School was a good thing, wouldn't scripture mention it? Why not have kids with their parents at church?
Does Scripture tell us of ALL the children that Adam and Eve had?, does it tell us of every miracle preformed by Christ? does it give us the details of every event of the Apostle Paul? Of course Not ----- now as far as Kids being with parents- using that logic - you would agree that children do not need to go to elementary school, rather they should just attend college with their parents.
It's obvious with all the "Christians" armed to the teeth these days.Sunday School is not usually simultaneous with the sermon....
I think we offer strange fire when we use human reason in place of God's design for church structure.Does Scripture tell us of ALL the children that Adam and Eve had?, does it tell us of every miracle preformed by Christ? does it give us the details of every event of the Apostle Paul? What in the world are you talking about and what does that have to do with the topic? It's obvious with all the "Christians" armed to the teeth these days.
God actually gave very little structure for the church in Scripture. I don't see how SS is outside of the bounds of Scripture.I think we offer strange fire when we use human reason in place of God's design for church structure.
I'm talking about the Sermon not being taught in SS. It's obvious with the violent mindset you find in Churches today. What in the world are you talking about and what does that have to do with the topic?

It is not scriptural. Church should be a family thing, not dividing families up into little sects for indoctrination purposes. So are you saying it is wrong to have Sunday School
Can you provide Scripture to prove that stance? It is not scriptural. Church should be a family thing, not dividing families up into little sects for indoctrination purposes.
An absence of scripture supporting today's Church "service", more Catholic than anything else, along with the Acts model of worship goes a long way in telling us what Church should be.Can you provide Scripture to prove that stance?
And where does it show us how it is supposed to be done?An absence of scripture supporting today's Church "service", more Catholic than anything else, along with the Acts model of worship goes a long way in telling us what Church should be.
You know that isn't what I meant. Even though I am egalitarian, I can respect complementarian views and don't view them as sexist. What was sexist however was your comment that women can't teach period because they will teach false doctrine. Was Paul "sexist"?

It's not a question of ability, it is a question of God's design and mandate. He isn't going to recant that nor are the men who think women cannot model Christ to boys nor teach boys.
Does not Paul clearly say this? You know that isn't what I meant. Even though I am egalitarian, I can respect complementarian views and don't view them as sexist. What was sexist however was your comment that women can't teach period because they will teach false doctrine.
Gotcha. My advice, dear, and take it or leave it......let this be the last post of yours in this thread. Move on. It ain't going to get any better - only worse. Trust me on this one.

Just do like me - exit - stage left. [Or not, your preference]
I haven't always done that in the past and nothing was ever resolved.
No actually he doesn't.Does not Paul clearly say this?
