So you think Paul approved of LGBT? Have you read Romans 1? Corinthians?Actually, Paul as led by the Holy Spirit cleared it up for you.
You can't pick the verses of the Bible to believe in.So you think Paul approved of LGBT? Have you read Romans 1? Corinthians?
I don't. But you can't either. WORSE, you can't take a verse out of context to push a meaning onto it that it does not have. You can't pick the verses of the Bible to believe in.
So it's OK to deceive women and children?
I think it is fine for them to teach ladies and young women. I think children in general is a gray area that I have an opinion on but won't be dogmatic. Are you saying that women should not teach other ladies or children? I guess that goes for mothers teaching their own children?
Too bad you can't seem to understand Paul.Actually, Paul as led by the Holy Spirit cleared it up for you.
....and they are not a good role model for young boys in that setting. Definitely no women pastors either.
I'd be surprised to find anyone (male or female) that have been right in their teaching 100% of the time so I don't really follow your point here. My view comes from the passage that points out that a bishop is to be the husband of one wife. Obviously, God is speaking of men being pastors.
I had a wonderful SS teacher who was a lady. She taught us teen girls faithfully from the Bible and she was a faithful student of God's Word. She became my mother-in-law later and I greatly respect her. I would never support a woman in the leadership role of pastor or deacon or anywhere where she would be teaching men or young men.

Does environment shape people? Why "Boy Scouts" and "Girl Scouts" if not?Why are women not a good role model for boys?
I'm glad it worked out for you. But is Sunday School a biblically sound practice? Where is it in scripture?I'd be surprised to find anyone (male or female) that have been right in their teaching 100% of the time so I don't really follow your point here. Was Paul "sexist"?sexist much
Lets not get into this silly augment again. Granted, the Bible does not speak of having a Sunday School. And neither does it instruct us 1) to have communion once a month (as most Baptist churches do -2) to have hymnals (in the 17th Century - a major issue was to not have hymns) 3) to have Air Condition , 4) to have Bible Colleges (hmm Maybe former member S Anderson is correct about Bible colleges!)I'm glad it worked out for you. But is Sunday School a biblical sound practice? Where is it in scripture?
If Sunday School was a good thing, wouldn't scripture mention it? Why not have kids with their parents at church?Lets not get into this silly augment again. Dave, just because the Scriptures do not specifically instruct us to do something - does not mean it is wrong to do so. --
unless Scripture specifically tells us not to. For example - it would be wrong for a church to steal something the church needs.

When we say pastor - we normally think of the senior pastor, or assistant.pastor
But is the senior pastor the only one position that may be held by a male?
and the vast majority of us believe that position does needs to be a male.
How about a Youth Pastor - could that be a female
How about Children Pastor - could/should that position be a female?
Pastor of Discipleship.....
Pastor of ____________ (fill in the blank)
After seeing your posts about the Sermon on the Mount, I'm not sure you're a good judge of truth and error.I can't think of one woman teacher I ever heard that didn't teach serious error.
If the sermon is not for today, none of the bible is. The Sermon is the backbone of NT ethics. ....I'm not so sure about thee either.....After seeing your posts about the Sermon on the Mount, I'm not sure you're a good judge of truth and error.
What of a Pastor-Teacher who not a bishop/overseer but a deconess in a little children's ministry?From another thread
