She couldn't get anywhere as a candidate when she was one of seventeen running early on, so what did Cruz think she could bring to his campaign now? It is so disappointing to me that the anti-Trump movement is so hateful and desperate that they will do anything to stop him. It is so painfully obvious that they are merely trying to force a brokered convention, that imo, the GOP may end up on life support after the convention, with the election being the day the GOP is taken off life support and pronounced dead.

Not the first time a candidate banked on a brokered convention. It won't be the last. If either of them was a stronger candidate, It wouldn't be happening.

It's odd, to say the least, that a person who hasn't locked up the party's nomination, or is not the front runner and the presumptive nominee would name a VP candidate. And one as polarizing as Fiorina for that matter. She's toxic.

This took the spotlight off Trump's foreign policy speech, and just for a little bit shined the light on Cruz.

I personally don't see how the gay in a distant second naming a running mate does anything for him other than get him some press.

Cruz represents the polices of Reagan and Fiorina, so despised by Trump, brings good skills to the campaign to help elect a conservative Republican.

Indiana is key to what happens next, much to my surprise. I don't think Indiana has been crucial in an election since 1860 when Indiana stood so strong for Lincoln. If Trump wins Indiana, he will be nominated. If Cruz wins Indiana, then Cruz will have expressed the will of the GOP that Trump not be nominated on the first ballot. It is unlikely that Trump can win on a second ballot.

Trump has higher negatives than Clinton. He has not been vetted and no one really has any solid information about him. It will be curious to see who will run with Trump. Trump needs to make a deal. Who do you think will run with Trump?

That would be a mistake. Two New York/New Jersey RINO's? No thank you. Besides, Trump would never win New Jersey even with Christie, so I don't see what Christie brings to the table. Plus, Bridgegate is still fresh in the minds of people, and you can bet Hillary will bring it up again.

Yep, this act of desperation looks bad and will only hurt Cruz, it will backfire and only serve to give momentum to Trump just as the Cruz/Kasich desperate teamwork maneuver is doing. Its starting to look to me like Trump will get the 1237 before the convention or at the least is likely to easily pick up the few he is short on the first ballot. - that's my prediction.

Kasich has point blank said he would never be a vice presidential candidate. Now, I know people say things and then do the opposite, but Kasich's language is unambiguous. He doesn't say, "I can't foresee being the VP candidate (thereby leaving some wiggle room) he says, "I will never run as someone's VP candidate."

We all will know Tuesday night if Trump can win Indiana. I can tell you that in the western suburbs of Indianapolis, Trump is disliked for his vulgarity. The Hoosier GOP establishment is for Kasich but they might use Cruz as a stalking horse to force a deadlocked convention. If Cruz wins Indiana and Nebraska, then Cruz hopes the California GOP will support the Cruz-Fiorina ticket.

Trump has had peculiar venues in Indiana. Twice he has appeared at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, which are located in the slums of Indianapolis. It shows that Trump has little help from the Hoosier GOP officeholders.

Yes, Hillary will jump on anything seeing the desperation she is in with all her "Gates" that will be thrown (for right or for wrong) in her face. Benghazi-gate, server-gate, travel-gate, whitewater, etc, etc...

It will be a "knock down - drag out" campaign if its between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.

I would say technically yes. But actually, he is a liberal in my estimation.
He registered as a Republican for other than political reasons.

He wanted a more favorable political genre for his mega-buck projects.
The Obama Doctrine hindered his adventures so he is USING the GOP, playing them like the proverbial fiddle to get what he wants.

I'm in a quandary. If he wins the nomination should I vote for him or not - stay home or what?
Clearly even a pretend RHINO would be better than Mrs. Hillary Clinton (IMO).

I think that Kasich declined to run with Cruz. I don't know which way Indiana will go but if Indiana is lost to Trump, then Trump wins the nomination on the first ballot. The Hoosier GOP was for Kasich before Kasich halted his campaign in Indiana.
