For the "pro female pastor" folks

I do always vote, but that does not mean I fill in every spot on every ballot. If I feel no one is qualified to hold an office, I will leave that office blank on my ballot. Of course, this is in an extreme circumstance. Because each person you elect is bigger than that.
Here in Oklahoma we're seeing a change in government. For the first time in over 80 years the Republicans were in control of our state House. The Senate could well change hands in 2006 due to term limited Democrats. This change allowed our state to pass the most strict pro-life legislation we've seen since Roe. It has already had an impact on the amount of corruption seen in our state government. So, I can justify voting for a Republican that is not everything I would want, because of the direction that individual would allow our government to take.
There could be an area where Democrats need to be elected to bring about change. I could see voting for a democrat that didn't represent everything you wanted, just to allow the change to take place.
So, my name is counted in every election. If there is a case (and they are rare) that I do not feel any candidate should be elected, I will simply vote by voting for neither. However, I am also well aware that I lose my right to complain about the individual that wins that office.

Yes. I vote party line when there is a "lesser of two evils". I don't agree voting for the "lesser of two evils" is voting for evil. If you don't vote AT ALL you freely allowing, and condoning the "greater of two evils" to take office, which to me would be wrong.

Not to change the subject about voting or anything, but I have a couple of comments I'd like to add concerning the whole women in authority thing. I do not agree with women being in positions of authority over a man. A couple verses that talk about this (and I'm surprised nobody has mentioned them yet) are: 1 Corinthians 11:3 "But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God." and 1 Timothy 2:12 "But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." I looked up the phrase "usurp authority" and basically it means: to act of oneself, that is, (figuratively) dominate. After reading those verses, I don't see how that gives room for a woman to be in any kind of authority over a man, whether it be president, senator, governor, military etc. I am not totally against women in the military, but I don't like them being in a position where they tell men what to do, I don't care how good of a Sgt. or Lt. or Gen. they are. If God's Word speaks against it, then if I believe different, I must change my beliefs to what God says.
Also, I see a lot of argument concerning this subject, but not a lot of Bible verses. There are a few, but mostly I see people's opinions, instead of Bible. May I suggest that when you get into a debate such as this, that you back up what you say with the Bible?

My final reply, lol, on the voting issue...If one has the option of voting for "none of the above", I say GREAT! If not, then signing one's name on the registry does not mean he has voted. You have to pull the lever in order to cast a vote...at least here.
It's been said that if one doesn't vote, they lose their right to complain about the individual that wins that office. Well, you never lose your right to tell the truth. And to those who don't agree that voting for the "lesser of two evils" is voting for evil, then would you vote for Stalin, if Hitler and Stalin were running against each other? If you only have two evils to choose from and you pick one...then you have still chosen evil...else it really isn't two evils!
You don't vote in order to block a candidate. You should vote your conscience as to who is scripturally qualified for the position. Voting for the lesser of two evils is not only allowing the evil one to get his foot in the door...but it's giving him the keys to the door!
And on the other issue...If the instructions for women in the Bible work for the home and the church, then wouldn't they also keep order in society? Surely, God doesn't have two standards.
God's word says that it's a shame when women rule. Isaiah 3:12 "As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths." Judges 4:9 "And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh."
It's kind of hard for a woman to be in authority in the "secular world" if she is fulfilling her Biblical role in the home, wouldn't ya say? There were men present to lead in Deborah's day...they were just sissies...much like men today who have bought the feminist lie.

God has ONE standard and if we're (men and women) fulfilling our roles as outlined in the scriptures, there is no way women can rule over men.
