Forcibly Removing All the Tulips at SWBTS

I thought you argued that Dr. Mohler did not remove non-Calvinist professors at the Seminary. I was responding to that. If this post isn't relevant your post wasn't relevant.
No, the point was that he didn't remove them for being Calvinist necessarily. There were other big issues.

The Bible tell us to focus on one man--Jesus. Imagine where we would be today if it were not for Martin Luther, and Keil and Delitzsch?

Your comparison of Burleson to what Luther did is in complete error and quite sensationalistic.

He is disgraced and discredited. He is a reproach that handles all thing un-biblically. The Klouda dismissal was as much misrepresented as this is.

Really? She wasn't fired because she was a woman? You also believe in Santa?

What he does is works to stir up trouble because he disagrees with other things.

The same could have been said of Patterson 20 years ago.

And he spends much time as you do focusing on one man.

Yet you seemed obsessed with Wade Burleson. You aren't mentioned in his upcoming book are you??

That is in and of itself problematic and shows an agenda. But you continue on. Dr. Patterson has dealt with your kind since the beginning of the resurgence. He can handle you, Burleson and the like.

Typical. Read it for yourself everyone. It an "us verses them" mentality with these Fundamentalists Baptist Identity folk.

Paige our Pope! Hail Paige...Hail Paige....Hail Paige

I seem obsessed with Burleson? How many posts do you find from me about him to prove your allegation?

Really? She wasn't fired because she was a woman? You also believe in Santa?

And do you think that is all the details of it? You need to research it more before speaking.

Apparently you do not know enough to speak on this as well.

Everytime he is brought up on this forum.......you are here bashing him.

Really, tell us all you supposedly know on the subject.

You're right, ole Paige didn't disagree with anything 20 years ago.

From the mouth of Pope Paige himself regarding the firing of Klouda:

Question (Richardson): Well, I’m interested in whether or not you claim here under oath today, Dr. Patterson, that you mentioned to these two gentlemen (Blaising and Allen) any concern about her (Klouda) violating the stipulation that she was placed under?

Answer (Patterson): Yes, I did mention it to both of them.

Q. And what — what is it you say you said to them?

A. I don’t recall the exact conversation, of course, but I did say to them that I felt that there was violation taking place perhaps, and furthermore, that I felt that it was inappropriate ecclesiologically for her to be in this position.

Q. And what was the violation that you claim here today that you told them that you thought was taking place?

A. I believe that she was indulging in the exposition of the scripture.

Q. Giving her own conclusions?

A. Uh-huh.

Q. Yes?

A. Yes, I’m sorry.
Dr. Klouda, a Hebrew professor, trained at Criswell College in the subject of Hebrew, bestowed the Master's and Doctoral Degrees from Southwestern Theological Seminary for her expertise in the Hebrew language, hired unanimously by the trustees of Southwestern Seminary Theological Seminary to teach Hebrew - 'indulged' in drawing conclusions about the sacred text.

Stone her! say the Baptist Identity Fundies.

The Catholics thought the same things about Luther as you do about Burleson. Many protestants also thought the same things about Keil & Delitzsch as you do about Burleson too.

God is the judge in action.

Go back and read the posts by Revmitchell and see if you can find one declarative statement that has any substance.

Actually I took his challenge to prove he was obsessed with Wade Burleson here are just a few results:

Post #2 (Wow, just the mention of his name brought this on.)

It would be to time consuming to find them all, but these give a taste for his absolute hatred of Wade Burleson.

It will be intersting to see if a Reverend Mitchell appears in this book: http://helwys.com/books/hardball_religion.html

wow...this conservation has turned. I don't think character defamation is ever a way to tip the scales of your argument.

I hope this gets cleaned up.

I don't know but that is irrelevant. If there aren't any, the school will be better off, but I have no connection with SBTS or the SBC either.

However, the reasons for removal had to do with the founding principles of the school and the requirement that professors adhere to the Abstract of Principles.

You can hear something about it here.
I was pleased to read Dr Mohler's comments on the web site you referenced and to see that the Abstract of Principles is again in effect at Southern Seminary.

I have engaged in some spirited discussions with Pastor Larry and others on this Forum regarding the doctrine of Dispensationalism. On occasion I believe that discussion has become too spirited to continue. That being said the acrimony on this thread over and by certain men is beyond belief on a Christian discussion Forum.

I assume many involved in the discussion are pastors and privy to information of which I am ignorant. However, it seems to me that the bitterness apparent in some of the remarks is totally unwarranted among Christians. This bitterness exceeds much of what I have seen posted on the Politics Forum.

The only character assassination going on is of Dr. Patterson and anyone who dares oppose that action. Burleson is slandering with no clear evidence.

If you believe that he is wrong then as a brother it is your responsibility to confront him with the truth.

He has been confronted with the truth. He of course responds with the grandiose notion that if it does not come true it is because he exposed it.

Each one of these I respond to a thread started by someone else. I do not initiate threads about him as does at least one on this board about their hate of the SBC or Dr. Patterson. And your hate of Dr. Patterson is quite revealed in this thread as well. No evidence of obsession with me to be sure.

What is going on ought to be a lesson for all of us to heed. If a man always carries truth, righteousness, and justice people will not have any reason to distrust him. Integrity is really quite a simple thing if you always stay focused on what is right.

Why are you are so easily angered? What facts have you stated to disprove what was written on the blog? You did state that he was slanderous. Is that libel or not? Did I miss some facts?
