Oh my! Chicken fried steak, a pile of mashed 'taters, a couple ears of roasted corn on the cob, and two or three biscuits ... all smothered in sausage gravy! Mmmmmmmmmm... [IMG]

Now I know what we're havin' fer supper Sunday after church! Anybody want directions?
    -----------------------------

Seriously, though ... I think when it gets to the point that we can't do something because we're overweight, that's where it begins to be wrong. I honestly don't believe in the "Twiggy" syndrome or the 'perfect figure' ... and I disagree with most height/weight guidelines put out by the so-called 'experts', but when it gets to the point that we're say .... 30 or 40 lbs or more over those guidelines, I think that's pushin' it. I'm not saying that we all need to be marathon runners, but if we can't do our normal daily activities (and maybe a little more) because our weight is 'holding us back', that's where we should draw the line.

Now ...... I'm fixin' to go chicken-fry my steak, so excuse me, please .... :D

No okra here, sorry. It took me a lotta learnin' and gittin' used to how to eat a crawfish when I first moved south, but never having lived in Okrahoma, I'm still not adapted to that one. [IMG]

... and next time, don't wait so long to ask for directions ... 'tis all gone now! :(

Why is it that the person not suffering the sin of Gluttony points it out to the rest of the flock. I knew even before I got to the part about you being in the best shape of your life, that you were most likely in great shape.

Still you do show why the flock continues in sin, content with that sin, and no plans to change anytime soon. Which is why I have said that if you want to kick out the drinkers, homosexuals and fornicators, include the overeaters and gossipers also. At the end of the day, we'll have a perfect church. Empty but perfect.

    Post-it,
Why do you assume that gluttony is the cause of obesity?

Sorry for being gone for so long! I have been on a retreat!

I agree. The best sets and repetitions anyone can do is reading God's word. He gave us a body and it belongs to Him. He dwells in us, if we are saved, therefore take care of His body. Does anyone absolutely disagree with that?

God's never says that not taking care of your body is a sin. Should God have to tell us to take care of your body for you to do it? I think we should do it out of love for Him. My mom used to ask me why I didn't wash the dishes when I was home all day and I would say "because you didn't tell me to". Sounds a lot like what some of you are saying about taking care of your body. (Or should I say His body)

I never said that not taking care of your body is a reason to kick someone out of the church along with everything else you said. I do appreciate the sarcasm though. [IMG]

Please remember, post-it, that anyone what that is in shape, was at one time out of shape.
