Good for SeaTac, but how about living in Sedro Wolley, Union Gap, or Ellensburg?
East, west, or south, 165 miles keeps me inside Washington State. Canada is about 130 miles to the north.

Now that we have moved to a real neighborhood in a real city I can walk to most every place I need to go. Six bits gets me a bus ride to all business areas of Seattle. I will be happy when the kids tell me to quit driving because it will give me an excuse to stay home. Cities are great places for old people!

Until the first big power outage...

Then it's not so great.

Come the first big heat wave in the summer with no air conditioning or a cold snap in the winter with no heat and you'll be singing a different tune.

Good for Seattle, Tacoma, Spokane, Bellevue . . . I don't consider those mentioned to be decent sized cities. One could not live comfortably in Seatac, Sedro Wolley, Union Gap, or Ellensburg without owning a car.

Bellevue only has 125,000 people but it is a new city with a new "big city" down town area. Everett has 100,000 people but looks like a dirty old mill town.
