And he has "decreed", and it "pleases" him to extend his offer of salvation to all men.... He does whatever is pleasing to him...

Only through freewill can judgement be just. How can justice condemn a man for not doing what was impossible for him to do eions before he was born.

The concept of total depravity gives election indigestion...

If an illness is diagnosed incorrectly, then the prognosis and the remedy will be wrong and could be harmful, even fatal. To go wrong in understanding the effect of the Fall on man's spiritual condition will result in a wrong diagnosis and and wrong remedy. Man's "free will" is limited by his nature. Man can only choose according to his nature. That should be obvious, both Biblically and logically.

In the Luke 18 parable of the unrighteous judge - it is not "unjust mercy" that is sought - but rather - "justice". And What is Christ's conclusion? Is it --
"If I give you justice all the saints will die"?

Is it - "so you see - unjust mercy is the only hope"??

In Luke 18 - Christ settles it - "Shall not God bring about JUSTICE FOR HIS ELECT who CRY TO HIM day and night??".

In Daniel 7 it is "Judgement passed IN FAVOR of the saints" that ends their torment.

Justice And Mercy - INSTEAD of unjust Mercy, from the God who "So loves the World", who is "Not willing for ANY to Perish" who "IS the atoning sacrifice for OUR sins and NOT our sins only but for those of the WHOLE WORLD".

And although - the Calvinist must claim "ALL are going to heaven", we know he really means "the arbitrarily select Few" - hence - his claim to unjust mercy.

Hey, how about you just making all of the posts in the forum for both sides. We could rename it -
