God bless him for standing up for what he believes. We'll have to see if he follows through.
I guess I don't understand the pushing a stroller with a doll covered in fake blood or why you would have a 6 year old kid, one who doesn't truly understand life or death much like abortion vs birth holding a sign saying 1/3 his friends are in the trash. I know a 6 year old kid will repeat anything he hears in the house and will show the passion he sees his parents display but it's hard to know what they really understand. That's close to child abuse in my book.

Alan Keyes has always had my respect. He was among those protesting in Montgomery when Chief Justice Roy Moore was removed from office. I have no doubt in my mind that he won't back down in this case either.

I can't speak for all children or their parents........ but when I was 6, there were 4 other children younger than me, 3 in diapers of which 1 was 'training' and the 4th a bed wetter, so Mother (not only primary caretaker but often only parent present with Daddy in the military) had little time to explain and teach me things. Then we moved: And in the presence of Grandparents, 3 aunts and an uncle living together nearby, and first cousins near grown, some as old as my mom...... I heard a lot of stuff and understood a lot more than most adults would give a child credit for understanding.
One would be surprised to know just how much a child understands when privileged with adult conversations. If his parents are already active in the stop abortion movement...... then its likelly that he's already heard about babies being killed before they are born.
Children can be exposed to this campaign without the presence or conversation of parents when ads are placed in literature or tv or radio. Just imagine the assault to a child's understanding if he lacks the guidance and information given by a parent..... or if he discovers that his parents approve of 'choice' baby killing!

It is easy to post on the Internet. It is another thing altogether to take action and have the courage of your convictions. How many join Keyes? How many take in kids who are born after the mother who didn't want them opts for life? How many give money to support counselling and education?
I am sure some do, but it is easier to rail against the President and call people "baby killers" than to put action to one's belief.

I have only my social security check, no health insurance and see my cancer doctor this month. I pay out of pocket for all medical and meds. My check comes in at $1000/month and auto insurance a year and property taxes eat most of two checks. That's all I have. I give to the church and to a benevolence fund offering. My home is over 10 miles to the nearest grocery store and 6 miles to church, one way. What else would you suggest that I do with all my income?

National Right to Life would not support Keyes' candidacy back in the 90s due to financial improprieties. I read a long article about it then and saw their point. However, I cannot recall the details. But I know if Nat'l Right to Life would not support him, they had strong reasons for this decision.

I remember roughly the claim but not the time frame. I think it was back in the 90's. Keyes'war chest of campaign funds was tapped to pay himself a salary to live on during the year of the campaign. Some campaign debts remained unpaid for a time. I believe their was a court challenge which while it recognized as unusual that a person running for office would request a salary from his campaign funds... the findings was that there was nothing that prevented it and nothing amiss was committed. I think, though the debts to venders extended for a length of time..... eventually Keyes made good on those debts.
The main problem I have with Keyes.... is I think he is also a Globalist, although a conflicted one. I do admire his moral stand, value of human life, and most especially his acknowledgement of God and his holiness and standards.
My understanding of things since I was 20 vastly expanded or changed by the time I was 40 but your response proves my point. The child is demonstrating the world view of his parent and not conclusions they formulated on their own. Repeating or demonstrating "adult conversation" you over heard is not the same as being presented all the facts in a unbiased way and coming to the conclusion on your own. Sure, they can repeat talking points they heard mom and dad say but to imply at 6 you have developed your own world view to come to that strong of a conclusion is ludicrous. This child may grow up to be a democratic candidate and will have to explain that sign to his constituents.
I remember when my daughter was 6. I could give her a quarter and she would try to buy the entire store. Now at 16 I can give her a $20 and she seems disappointed.
