I rebuke your personal interpretation of Scripture and any judgment of myself and others on this board. Look inward, "O sanctimonious person..." for it is you who have sinned with your words of judgment and apostate like views.
There seems to be no love in your cold heart and chastizement.

Your point is well taken, in that you have proved that we ALL need to remember to give grace wherever possible, (I myself regretfully entered this melee, and see now that even though I was trying to keep people from accusing each other, I ended up inescapably accusing people of accusing... I should have stayed out of it). We need to learn to follow Paul's example of thanking God for those very people he was frustrated with (1 Cor 1), to give our brothers and sisters the benifit of the doubt whenever possible, and to correct our opponents with Gentleness....
...However, I would like to make 2 points:
1. We ARE told to correct or opponents...but to do it with gentleness. We are told to correct error, to combat false teaching. To remove the speck from our nieghbors eye...AFTER we have removed the log from our own eye. That is exactly what you yourself were doing by posting the OP to demonstrate our judgementalism; You saw an error and wanted to expose it, which is what many on this board often seek to do. We often, however add more heat than light...but the light is needed. Even those of us who disagree with the sentiment of the quote, and believe this person has an incorrect attitude of superiority and animosity toward her fellow believers...must remember that we are not the final judge of people.
2. The I simply believe your statement (bolded) above is not true. It is true that we as christians still have all the self-righteous, defensive, attacking tendancies we had before we were saved. However, every unsaved person also has these. I Believe that the Holy spirit dwelling in the believer DOES MAKE A DIFFERENCE...and believe that taken on the whole, true Christians DO treat their fellow man better and kinder than the average pagan.
There are some very nice pagans. But, when you, like me, have lived in a big city, and seen the pristine aloofness of corporate big-wigs, and the young ambitious businessmen who hope to be big-wigs some day...and see teenagers in vitriolic hate-filled spats; you see that we could be much worse. I'm not saying we are not bad, and I think a board like this is where you may see it worse, since the people who are attracted to debate forums are probalby more argumentative than most. (Though I suspect in person we would be much more cordial, and would not mis-understand each other so much.)
However, in person, in a church community where fellow believers can urge us in a kind direction, I believe knowing Christ DOES change a person into someone who is BOTH (1) more concerned with truth and righteousness than they used to be, and (2) more concerned with mercy, peacemaking, and forgiving the faults of others than they used to be.
So in spite of the BB, I cannot share your pessimism of the church and its people.
Actually, that's the role that fundamentalists love to play, and you're doing a great job of it here.

....I don't need your blessings; your wink and spiritual nod; your approval; your endorsement; your confirmation; your validation; your support or your backing to get to heaven. All I need is what I have, and that is the promise of my Father and Savior.
For your information, I know that I know, that I am saved. But, if you continue to go around questioning and condemning others on this board, you will be responsible for any spiritual harm they may incur, and that places their blood on your hands.
I'm certainly glad I'm not you, in fact, if heaven is going to be made up of folks like you....well, I'm blessed to know that your kind will not be there! And by that, I believe that before your kind (judgmentalistic) enters the gate, God will do some serious transforming of your overall spirit!

It is through what I have confessed and received that provides the key to the narrow door at Heaven's gate that guarantees my passage.

Your words, theology, thoughts, and judgment are nothing more than egocentric ideology, and if I was you, I'd check to make sure you are actually on the narrow path, because when it comes down to the sandals hitting the dirt and gravel of that rugged path, your spirit of condemnation leaves me to question if you are really my brother, or a demonic presence sent to make an already rough path just that much more difficult.

I find it hard to believe that God has chosen someone like yourself to be the appointed or anointed leader who will lead all of us out of our messed up views of heaven and His Word. God does not need you to do His job. What He does need is for you to be concerned about your own witness and walk and not that of others.
Your way is a spiritual hindrance, especially to someone who may have less experience and faith that most of us, and your finger pointing can cause the weak in us to go further astray. Yes, there are many two-faced, judgmental, back stabbing gossipers in the church.
But there are also so many who are cultural Christians because they just act it out but have no change in their hearts.
As I said, Jesus loved unconditionally but he also called people to repentance and didn't go after those who turned away from Him.
The only way that an addict, whore, gambler, gay person, murderer, thief or over-eater is going to be in heaven is if they were washed by the blood of the Lamb. If they ARE washed by the blood, they will no longer be walking in their sin and they will be changed.
Additionally, the Bible is clearly suitable for correction - what do we correct if we can't say anything? It's also suitable for reproof. That speaks of wrong - and using the Scriptures to bring that to light.
We see in Scripture that it is RIGHT to correct. It is RIGHT to confront a brother or sister and call them to repentance. However we MUST do it with the heart of Christ - not in pride, anger or gloating - but instead with humbleness and love.

Chill out Dude. I think you really need to take a step back and assess in your life what things require such seriousness. You get really bent out of shape about things that happen on this board. You are going to put yourself in an early grave with a heart attack at the rate you are going. Tim's heart is in the right place, just with the wrong cause, most of the time. I don't think Jesus would support most of the things he supports, but, I'm not God, and in the end, Tim may get some huge rewards for doing things you and I thought were wrong.

The funny thing is.. I am really a conservative on most issues.. and agree with conservatives on most issues.. and if you would know me in real life you would agree with me 95% of the time!... haahhaa... even Aaron and I could get along in real life.. Maybe.. lol..
I just see the image of God in all humans.. not just legal citizens, or people who live up to certain standards that the church sets up that are not in the Bible... etc.. and I feel all humans should be treated with the same dignity as others.. I may be wrong.. but I'd rather err on the side of Grace, and love.. and let God do the condemning, and judging, and handing out the punishments..
I'm sure if I am wrong, God will straighten me out.. and if I get in trouble for loving people, no matter who they are, what they have done, or sins they have committed, then so be it.. I'm willing to be punished.. and I won't even beg God for mercy. I love everyone.. not just the "right" type of people.. and if loving people gets me in trouble with God.. so be it.
The world doesn't want me playing God..
