Then you believe that it is not his will that all mankind be saved, is that right? His will is that those who trust in His Son will be saved and there is no reason to doubt that God will accomplish His will.

If God wanted all mankind to be eternally saved, all mankind WILL be eternally saved, because God has the power to accomplish all his will. Isa 50:2, Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? or have I no power to deliver? Dan 4:35, And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; and He doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? Romans 10 is teaching a timely salvation and not eternal salvation. Israel is a type of God's elect. God even changed Jacob's name to be called Israel, Gen 32:28. Paul is saying in Rom 10:1 that his prayer to God is that Israel (his elect) bight be saved (the saving here is not talking about eternal salvation, but being saved (delivered) from believing upon their own righteous works for eternal salvation). The only way a person can have a zeal of God is for them to already be regenerated. If you go back to Rom 1:6 to see who Paul is addressing which is the called of Jesus Christ, beloved of God, called to be saints. Paul goes on to tell them if they would confess of this sin and submit themselves unto the righteousness of God they can be saved from depending upon their own righteous works for eternal salvation. If you take all of the salvation scriptures and interpret them to mean eternal salvation you will never get the scriptures to harmonise. We are eternally saved by God's grace and not by our own righteous works. How do you jump to that conclusion? God wants everyone to be saved, but they must submit to God and trust in Jesus for salvation, this is the only way we can be saved.
Rom 10:1 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
If you believe God does not want all men to be saved, then you would have to believe Paul was more loving and merciful than God, as he prayed all Israel would be saved.
We see the problem in vs. 3. The Jews had a zeal for God, but they were not willing to submit to God and be saved by faith in Jesus Christ.
There are only two religions in all the world. The first is that a man can merit salvation through his own righteousness and good works. The other and true religion is that all men are sinners and come short of the glory of God, but that we can trust in Jesus Christ alone to save us. It is a choice, but it is a choice to submit to God and be saved HIS WAY.
The word "world" in John 3:16 according to Thayer's Greek translation means, used of believers only and the same in John 1:29, 3:17, 6:33, 12:47, 1 Cor 4:9, 2 Cor 5:19.Only Jesus is perfect only in Him we will be saved. We are saved because of Him, that is why the message is God loved the world that He sent His Son that those who believe in Him will be saved. The whosoever is the elect the world is evil mankind. He was sent into the world to save sinners. He loved the world that He sent His Son, but the only one's who will be saved according to His word is the whosoever believes.
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
"Secondly, IN CHRIST JESUS THERE IS LIFE,
for he says: "Ye will not come to me that ye might have life." There is no life in God the Father for a sinner; there is no life in God the Spirit for a sinner apart from Jesus. The life of a sinner is in Christ. If you take the Father apart from the Son, though he loves his elect, and decrees that they shall live, yet life is only in his Son. If you take God the Spirit apart from Jesus Christ, though it is the Spirit that gives us spiritual life, yet it is life in Christ, life in the Son. We dare not, and cannot apply in the first place, either to God the Father, or to God the Holy Ghost for spiritual life. The first thing we are led to do when God brings us out of Egypt is to eat the Passover—the very first thing. The first means whereby we get life is by feeding upon the flesh and blood of the Son of God; living in him, trusting on him, believing in his grace and power. Our second thought was—there is life in Christ."

Amen! Good articulation.
But few there are that will recognize the absolute necessity to make a clear distinction between the eternal and temporal aspects of our salvation.
The majority here on the BB hold to abracadabra regeneration.
Open question to moderators / administrators...I'm curious why PB doctrine is allowed on the BB when all of the ME'ers were banned? Same 2 salvation soteriology...just from a different angle. Why is millenial exclusionism deemed a "damnable heresy" by the BB but the soteriology of the primitive baptist is not?incantation & magic words ....LOL!
If you want to study to show yourself approved and rightly divide the word, you will have to understand that the scriptures talk about different kinds of worlds. God would not tell us that he loves the world and then tell us not to love the world, John 3:16 and 1 John2:15. The same goes for the words, saved, save, and salvation. Most of the scriptures using these words are refering to timely salvations, or deliverances.2 Corinthians 5:14-15
14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
1 John 2
1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
We are all, both the elect and the non-elect, born into this world as natural beings without any righteousness until God quickens his elect to a spiritual life. The people who are left in their natural state will not be (the whosoever's who will) because the natural man, void of the Spirit, will not seek to serve a spiritual God, 1 Cor 2:14. The whosoever's who will are God's elect who have already been born again.God is not willing for anyone to perish, but has decreed to save those who believe(the "whosoever will").
Scripture talks about both.If you are genuinely saved you are both saved temporally and eternally. When one is genuinely saved their entire being is saved. What's the difference betwixt "temporal" and "eternal" salvation?

Salvation is a deliverance. If we are delivered from this present and sinful world, that would be eternal salvation. If those of us who have been quickened to a spiritual life repent of a sin that we have committed and God forgives us of that sin, that is a timely salvation. If we pray to God to deliver us from an illness we have, and he does, that is a timely salvation. Most of the salvation scriptures are refering to a timely deliverance and if you use them all as eternal salvation you will never be able to harmonise the scriptures. What's the difference betwixt "temporal" and "eternal" salvation?
