Are you saying that Judas was saved? Can you tell me where Judas is now?

Judas was remorseful (according to 2 Cor. 7:9-10). Peter was repentant.

    2 Corinthians 7:9
Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.

    2 Corinthians 7:10
For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.

Judas' sorrow was the "sorrow of the world"...it was not a godly sorrow, as was Peter's repentance.

Still waiting on that Text that says it wasn't "godly" repentance. Where is that again?

It wasn't a godly repentance. Had it been, he would not have hung himself.

Remember all the other disciples 'forsook Him and fled'?

Why did they not hang themselves? Because their repentance was a godly one.

Yet with every post we get more of thus says standingfirm and NOT thus says the Lord. Where does "SCRIPTURE" say this? Chapter and verse that's all that's necessary.

Tell you what, HWIT, we'll go with your theory on Judas. Where do you think he went? Where is he now?

So far, you have stated that Romans 10:9,10 is not what we claim it to be, yet you refuse to say what it is.

You have stated that Judas repented, yet refuse to tell us where he is.

You have stated that the disciples that followed Jesus no more in John 6 were saved with no Biblical text to substantiate your claims.'

Any more idiotic claims? or would you care to enlighten us on the three above. You apparently think you know it all, so tell us.

Judas, who betrayed Christ, had the sorrow of the world over his actions, and he hung himself. Had he had godly sorrow, he would have turned to God in repentance and faith and been saved. He was "sorry" he got caught.

    Matthew 27:3
Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
Matthew 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
Matthew 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Judas murdered himself. He surely did not have time to repent of his own murder.

Why can't you answer a simple question? Where do you believe Judas is now? Quit dancing around.

Not a "theory" standingfirm. Either Scripture says what "you" say or it doesn't. So far we just have your words minus the Words of Scripture, which proves nothing in my book.

Scripture please? This is the same thing standingfirm said, but there is still no Scripture that says this.

You take one Scripture out of context and make a doctrine out of it. Both Linda and I have given Scripture that proves that Judas was not saved. You claim he was. Prove it using Scripture other than the one you used.

Look up the Greek word for "repented himself"....it means "regret"

Now answer the question....Where do you believe Judas is now?

Here's Peter's godly repentance...compare this to Judas' "repentance":

Matthew 26:74 Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.
Matthew 26:75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.

So the ONLY evidence that you have of whether Judas was saved or not is based on "works". Scripture CLEARLY tells us that salvation is not received based on what we do or what we don't do, but on what we BELIEVE. I know you struggle with that, but that IS what Scripture SAYS.

1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

No murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. Judas murdered himself. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize the truth that Judas was not saved.

You don't have a lot of patience do you Linda :).

What does Scripture say? It says the body returns to the ground and the spirit returns to God. These are clear! What I am still in the process of studying out is what happens to the soul.

Oh man I went and did it now. I said man has three-parts instead of the common two-part theology that is taught today. Look out here comes that first heretic dart. I'm ducking now :).

Jesus said Judas was a devil... and you want to say he was saved?

I know what Scripture says. No murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.

It may come as a surprise to you to know that it is only Jesus who gives eternal life. Judas did not repent... he murdered himself. He did not have eternal life in him.

And yet this text doesn't say ANYTHING remotely close to what "you" said. This is talking about a relationship of one human to another human.

Again you are basing your whole assumption on one work in Judas' life. Everlasting life is not based on what we do or don't do. Paul makes that ABUNDANTLY clear in Eph. 2:8-9 NOT BY WORKS.

Whether you believe man is trichotomous our dichotomous matters not. It's whether you believe a believer will spend 1000 years in hell that is the heresy.
