Guns you own?

I thought about throwing this in a more general forum, but decided that it would probably turn into a political debate.

So... what kind of guns do you own?

Me, I'm currently down to two:

1) Taurus large frame .357 SS Pic

2) Taurus light weight snub nose .38sp SS Pic

Browning M1911 .45 Usually with me on the front seat, or tucked away on the side of my bed.

Phyllis has a small .22, I want to say Ladysmith ?

We have several shotguns & hunting rifles, but they are mostly in storage, in various states of assembly, and if I start hunting again, I'll look into putting some together. But I couldn't begin to describe them. My mom has a Baretta shotgun that's woth a bunch of money.

When hiking, I carry the .45, but I also carry pepper spray, I think that would be a better defense against a bear.

You can figure out who I am and where I live.
I ain't telling.

Should you want to come visit without knocking,
please know: I do promise to pray for your soul
after I blow you away.
(AKA /also known as/ shoot & pray Baptist)

Why would I want to do hunting of poor innocent
animals When God gave me a chain grocery store every
Square Mile of my community?

can't afford a gun right now, but if I could I guess the glock.45 will be as good as any.
right now, all I have is a "pana". Filipino for bow, except it's not really a bow.
It's a slingshot, with a 1/8" thick wire in place of the leather at the end (where you put the stone or marble), and you arm it with a 6 inch nail with the sharp end flattened and filed for the wire.

It's silent, it's swift, it's compact, and it's deadly (specially when dipped in insecticide before use).

That I use for house defense.

In the car, I have my trusty nunchako, and a baseball bat.

For public use I've got my hands.

My hands are such highly trained
(7 different martial arts, you know)
insturments of mayhem and destruction
that I must take great care when
I pick my nose -- lest I rip off my face. :praying:

Needless to say I'm 64 years old and haven't
used my hands in anger in 50 years.
I did bite a couple of kids in the stomach to
keep them from bothering me. One told
his friends that put him up to it "He doesn't
fight fair".

I have a couple of sticks connected by a wire.
My knees hurt a lot now so I carry a walking stick with
me - even in airplanes ;)

When my son was like seven (he is now 25)
we were in a book store. I was bending down to
look at some bargin books under the display table.
I had this inexpressable sense of danger.
I stood up, turned around, and ended up in
a martial arts defense position. Nobody behind me.
Just the wall book racks in a section called:

NEW AGE

Guardian angle* tapped me?

*( note to the Humor Impaired [HI!]:
This is an angle/angle joke - you know
'angle' is two lines joined together
and 'angle' is the measure thereof,
while 'angel' is a heavenly messenger -
a mathematics joke, a typing dylexic joke:
angle - angel )

I won't list mine either, but I'll do all I can to prevent shooting an intruder, even at some increased risk to me and mine. But once I've decided, and I'm still allowed time, the intruder is dead from multiple gun shots.

I use my firearms to kill God's creatures and eat them, you can't find venison in your local meat market, nor can you find wild hog, turkey, or duck for that matter. And when I am not hunting for innocent animals that deserve a good killin, I am trying to hook a fish that deserves the same punishment.

1. Remington 870 Express Ulti-Mag 12 ga Pump
2. Tikka Lite Hunter 30.06
3. Mossberg Youth Model 20 ga (soon to be my son's)
4. Red Ryder BB Gun (its my son's, but I shoot it more than he does)

I use my car. I figure I'm going that way anyhow. Why buy the bullet? I do not have a gun. But I do have a sword. It is sharper than anything else I know. It never fails or misses.

I have a .357 Rossi. Believe it or not, it was a wedding gift from DH. It's a great all around man stopper, and a good choice for women.
DH owns several. He has been an avid firearm collector all his life. We are both into archery, and own several bows, my Apache compound being my personal favorite. We both have CCW's.
Check out my post in "Books". It lists several links to home defense publications!

love,

I'm not at home and trying to go by memory, but I can't even remember the brands of most. A cheap .22 revolver (the only one I keep loaded), a .22 automatic, a .357 revolver, a .22 single-shot bolt action rifle(my first gun I've had since I was about 7), an 1894 .32 Kentucky repeating rifle, and 2 others inoperable; I don't even remember what they are. One that I don't have is a regret; an 1873 Colt .45 revolver that was stolen when my dad still had it in 1980; it was never recovered, as a few other items from that buglary were.

In June 1999 cancer came to my house.
I couldn't shoot it, cane it, sword it --
all those weapons were useless against
the cancer. One of the shots I gave my
first wife before she died cost $750 administered
in the Hospital, $350 when I gave it.
Couldn't I buy a handgun for that amount?
My First wife died 5 Dec 1999.
I, Deacon Ed, married a second womon
on 19 Jan 2002. She had a couple of .44s
which didn't save her husband from his
cancer. Arm yourself against cancer - it
is thousands of times more likely to kill
somebody in your house than a break-in.

A Smith & Wesson stainless steel 357 magnum, my favorite caliber, plus a few others. I also have a 25 caliber Beretta, very small and concealable.
