Hate on the increase

I am becoming ever more aware of an alarming rapid increase in a hatred for God and the Christian faith. I was wondering if any others are experiencing the same thing?
Here is a link to a trailer of the most blasphemous movie I have ever heard about.

I didn't click the link, but yes, we've seen and sadly have recently experienced the rise in hate against Christians right here in our small community. Just last week we saw a businessman lose customers simply because he mentioned he was born again and told "family friendly" jokes. He then told a funny biblical joke. A customer let him know they didn't want religion "shoved down their throat."

This is a very kind, happy man and they responded with pure hatred. I think they threatened to make trouble so he'd lose his job. Unbelievable!

It is clear....

....that the hatred toward Christianity is on the rise. But, the Bible said this would be the case! There will be a day, here in the states, that Christianity will be as hated as it is in most countries!

And all I can say is HALLELUJAH!!! Means we're that much closer to Jesus coming back!!!:praying:

"Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me". Matthew 5:11

I saw the video and did come away very offended, but I'm not sure if it is hatred we are dealing with but maybe instead, stupidity?

I don't even know if it's stupidity. There's a movement in Hollywood that likes to see how much they can get away with. The proverbial "how far can we push the envelope" and people laugh at it because we dared touch what has been untouchable.

It's almost like a "no one would dare to that" so we're gonna do it and make a cult classic and bring in lots of money because it's so far fetched. It's the type of stuff that Johnny Knoxville guy has profited off.

They know just like the Jack@3s movies, that same crowd will flock to this kind of crap and devour it as hilarious.

But I didn't see any hatred in the trailer, just a mockery of our views. I'm not sure the Christian west knows what hatred means.

Lost sinners bound in their will to sin, corruption, enmity and hostility toward God simply doing their 'job' as they have for thousands of years.

Right...the cheep & dirty approach to life. Void of quality, void of class .... again, how you do one thing is how you do everything.

Very true. It's akin to our definitions of racism. They are not properly defined or used.

If you disagree with someone , it's termed hate by a lot of people. We, the Church, has complained for years about gays and others screaming hate because we disagree with their choices.

Let us not fall into that same mold. We don't have to like their making fun of us. But we shouldn't be deeming it as hate.

Now there might be hate for God at the core, but not necessarily the following of Christ.

Yes it is hate. People do not mock God because they love Him.

Oh yes... I feel it much ore so here in Colorado than I did in SC. The people on the streets are more hostile to me, and the people at the job are as well.. Much hate towards believers and those that stand for Christ.

Some have lost their jobs because of their faith. But its okay as our suffering is little in comparison to those around the world.

I was checking out a video clip from William L. Craig on the Kalam Cosmological argument and Youtube gave additional clips on the subject. This is where I ran across a guy who claims to be "The Amazing Atheist", so as a good apologist I decided to listen to the opposing view and WOW!!!! Talk about "hate", this guy is really something else. He truly is full of hate for Christians. Be careful if you dare watch his videos for it is full of cuss words and it is directed at us.

I just wonder how bad the Atheist society is? I plan on researching this tp see what we are up against.

I have a couple of atheist friends who are appalled and disgusted at this type of behaviour.

I also know some Christians who are full of hate toward atheists and others.

I have to agree. This is a mockery of the pretrib, premil view, which may or may not be true. I remember in the past watching the "Oh God" movie with George Burns, and "Bruce Almighty." Although not my idea of a good movie, I did laugh in the last movie when Bruce parted the bowl of tomato soup like the Red Sea.

What I do think is more towards a hatred of Christianity is when the art exhibit in California showed a symbol of the cross with Christ on it in a jar of urine was displayed for all the world to see. Some will disagree, but I see a distinct difference between the movies like those above and this exhibit. I think those who go through our legal systems to prevent prayer in schools and Christmas displays in town squares hate Christianity much more than those who produce these movies.

I do agree that people in general are ever so slowly becoming less and less tolerant of Christianity. I also agree that we in the West, (Western Hemisphere) do not know what hatred really is, as we have not experienced real oppression like those in countries of Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. We experience thinks like the examples above. They did not hurt one hair on anyone's head. The solution to being mocked as a Christian in the West is to turn the off switch or ignore it. When we start losing jobs, going to prison, being executed or watching our families being executed for our faith in Christ, then we will know hatred has arrived.
