So??? Did he break any law?
I find it amazing (and very hypocritical) of Senator Reid to bring such charges when he himself has never, ever released any tax returns. It is simply a red herring.
No, probably not. I don't believe anyone has said Romney broke any laws.
Not a red herring ... it is politics. Reid has nothing to loose by riding this horse until Romney releases the returns, if he does. Romney looks bad not releasing the returns and my guess is he will look bad in the eyes of many if he does.
Just FYI for everyone...I didn't pay any income tax last year. Well I didn't pay any federal income tax. I didn't not pay tax illegally, but used the tax code to my proper ability and, because of my income, donations, and other deductibles moved into a zero tax bracket. My tax return canceled out what I had out in the system (so I guess they made interest money off me.)
I am happy I didn't pay any federal income tax. This isn't me being crafty or acting illegally. My accountant and I used a simple approach to limit my tax liability. Ultimately it ended up being zero.

And so, we can assume that with Mr. Romney's money, he has a team of CPAs and/or Tax Attorneys who know the tax code well and get him as many legal deductions as possible. Also, Mr. Romney gives an extraordnary amount to charity. In addition, he has stated that he has paid millions in taxes and I believe him.
BTW, we use a CPA every year, who has a very sharp pencil (nothing illegal, mind you), but all legitimate tax deductions. And so we get a refund instead of letting the crooks get all of our hard earned money.
The difference between Mr. Romney and obama is that Romney has worked for his money. Obama has lived off of taxpayers most of his time in this country, IMO, and doesn't know diddly about starting a business, running it, or making sound business decisions to make a profit. Mr. Romney has signed the FRONT of the paychecks. Obama has just signed the backs of them, and continues to do so to this very day, or maybe his
"payroll" on the taxpayer dime, is electronically deposited into his bank account with the Connecticut Social Security #, lol.

He has nothing to lose; loose is what his tongue is, flapping out unwarranted, unsubstantiated accusations.
Isn't it sad that CTB isn't able to utilize those same loopholes as you, Romney, and the other rich folk?
He has released one return, 2010, and yes it shows it paid taxes. So why not show all the returns. Obama has released his returns. Romney could settle this quickly by simply releasing the other returns.
The Democrats learned to ask for taxes, birth certificates, etc. from the conservatives. So don't be surprised if they use tactics that others use against them.

Yes we do have his tax return. It is on the net for all to see. And no I would not release a thing as it has no bearing on the election. The idea that a man should release his tax records is over the top. If the IRS is satisfied with his taxes then it is none of anyone elses business.
It many ways it is unimportant. But obviously it has a bearing on the election else there would not be such a large amount of talk about it.
Again, unless he has something he wants hidden there is no reason not to release them. Others have.
Hmmmm, maybe in 2009 he got a huge refund check because of money he lost in 2008 and carried part of that loss forward to 2009. It is legal.
The idea is more liberal fodder to detract from this miserable unqualified, unvetted person that is now sitting in the oval office. Asking for tax returns is just a little thing, just as an accusation that Romney is responsible for a woman's death 6 years after he left Bain - the really big cannons have not been fired yet at Team Romney. Just wait. The O has won elections by nasty, nasty politics (which has been posted elsewhere).
Will not be surprised if the election is postponed by Executive Order when it gets down to the wire. Hope the GOP is prepared for that possible event.

But decency left public discourse when obama called those who disagree with him "enemies" and "terrorists." He ceased legitimacy as POTUS with those remarks. Anything else should not be a surprise. Democrats have learned nothing from the GOP, because the average voting Democrat is uninformed and uneducated, believing the Dem party is the party of long ago, and it is not.
