Fair share of society's income, give me a break. People getting wealthier doesn't effect others from also becoming wealthy. Its a myth.
This is a zero-sum game. CEO's now make a much greater income compared to the people who work for them than they did in the 1950's.
CEO Pay Skyrockets To 361 Times That Of The Average Worker

CEO Pay Skyrockets To 361 Times That Of The Average Worker

In the 1950s, a typical CEO made 20 times the salary of his or her average worker. Last year, CEO pay at an S&P 500 Index firm soared to an average of 361 times more than the average rank-and-file worker, or pay of $13,940,000 a year, according to an AFL-CIO’s Executive Paywatch news release today.

Hmm... four months has yielded 1 million new jobs. So on an annual basis that would be 3 million new jobs. When is the last time there were 3 million new jobs created in a year, according to your graph? Answer: Never.

And that's your idea of slowing job growth? Blowing away every year shown on your graph?
Duh. How does Trump's number of 1M jobs gained in 1Q18 compare to Obama's numbers recently of 2.5 to 2.8M jobs gained? trump's gains in the year 2017 were LESS than Obama's gains in 2016. You can't extrapolate the 1Q numbers for a whole year gain. Job growth very well might start going down again.

Jobs created, 1st quarter
2018 655,000 Trump
2017 532,000 Trump
2016 595,000 Obama
2015 556,000 Obama

I'd say 2018 is a rockin'!

trump's gains in the year 2017 were LESS than Obama's gains in 2016.

Yes, in the first quarter.

You can't extrapolate the 1Q numbers for a whole year gain. Job growth very well might start going down again.

Pretty sure we'll have monthly job gains of around 200,000 per month going forward for several quarters. This will blow away Obama's numbers, either quarterly or monthly or annually.

  • Mattel, the well-known toy maker, had the highest pay gap of all the S&P 500 companies. Mattel’s median employee is a manufacturing worker in Malaysia who made $6,271, resulting in a CEO-to-employee pay ratio of 4,987:1.
Do you think the push to globalism and the transfer of manufacturing jobs to China and SE Asia may be driving up the gap between CEO and “average” worker?

You could also say it's an anomaly, One data point doesn't constitute a trend..Remember the famous quote from the movie "Wall Street?" "Greed is good."

No. It's the greed of the ultra-rich, the top 0.1%. left unchecked this is the result of unbridled capitalism.

making big money itself is NOT sinful, nor is it a credit to be poor, its how do you handle the wealth, and MANY of top 1 % give far more to charity work and building plants, hospitals, schools than you or I will make in our life times!

I'm not talking about sinful. I'm talking about the effect inequality has on the majority of Americans and on the nation's economy. Both of these are negative.

You mean those part time & temporary jobs that obama grew? He couldn’t even provide ‘shovel ready’ jobs after he got all the money to pay for it. Dang, by the time they were shovel ready he’d already shoveled off that money to his buds. Hahahahaha

Anytime you hitch your wagon to Obama, prepare to take a ride under the bus, or maybe like he told repubs............the back of the bus, because Americans are seeing real growth for a change, not that bs hope & change Obama sold.

There is no guarantee, either in the constitution or Scripture, of "EQUALITY"! Otherwise Jesus would never have said "The poor you have with you always."

If it's there, I would love to see the reference.
