So, are you saying that we don't need to love the Lord and we don't need to love our neighbors?

After all, that's the law.
You guys pull this one all the time. Someone says we're not under law, and then you think you trump it with statements like the above, or worse, "you mean it's okay to go around killing everyone and doing drugs and commiting adultery?"

The fact is, we are NOT under law but under grace. If you don't like it, then your problem is with God and the Bible. Only an idiot or someone intellectually dishonest would make it seem like we only have two choices: Be under law, or go around sinning all we want. I'll leave it to you to decide which of you ME guys are idiots or intellectually dishonest.

Acts 4:17-18
17 But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.
18 And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
4 And this occurred because of false brethren secretly brought in (who came in by stealth to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage), 5 to whom we did not yield submission even for an hour, that the truth of the gospel might continue with you.

9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

So now that you are under grace, then what? If it is against the law to commit adultery and a saved Christian, who is under grace, engages in adultery and does not repent of that sin, does that saved Christian, who is under grace, inherit the Kingdom of God?

See? You're doing it again. (See: You guys pull this one all the time.)

Brother Rufus, you keep pretending that a saved Christian can sin. Everyone knows that a saved Christian can't commit adultery.

Can a saved Christian commit gluttony? There is no difference in God's eyes.

Man, do I wish everyone knew that. You haven't been following the threads about sin. Ask DHK, he will tell you all about Christians actually dying in the act of adultery.

Do Christians die in the state of being obese?
Why do we overlook "social sins" and condone them, and only condemn those that seem repugnant in our own eyes? Our Lord never did that.

You should probably just be grateful that you are too old to lust, otherwise I would be careful what I said if I were you. David was a man after God's own heart and he was able to commit adultery. There is no sin under the sun that being saved will make you immune to if you set your heart to do it.

I suspect there was a time that was not true. You speak as a foolish man, whats wrong with you? Why not just debate, why the slurs all the time. You got a chip on your shoulder or what. I suspect you are upset because you been dragged over the coals by Amy and Npet;.

(if you set your heart to do it) then you still got a heart of stone.

I may speak as a foolish man, but I know it is equally foolish to believe that I cannot fall. I apologize if I offended you when I spoke of your age, it wasn't in the proper spirit.

Is there any other kind of Christian than a "saved Christian"?

And where does the Bible say what you are claiming?

Your implication is that a Christian cannot sin. Have you by any chance read I John recently??

I do know it says something about "practicing", i.e. habitually doing, some things.

I was speaking as a fool brother. Indeed a Christian can sin. I was referencing the idea that a man might believe on Christ, but nevertheless find that he was only a 'false professer' because he did not live up to some imaginary line in scripture. Christ died to save sinners. Such were some of us, and the rest of us still are.
