Unless you can state what a verse means in your own words, it is nothing more than rote regurgitation. Fiddlesticks.

Every translation represents the translators interpretation of the meaning of the text. Does 2 Thessalonians 2:13 say individuals were chosen "for salvation" or "to be saved?" One of the two is a deliberate manipulation of the text to hide conditional election. The Greek text has the noun salvation, but the translator manipulators change it into a verb in the RSV, ESV, NIV and at least a dozen others. Bible study uncovers these deliberate misrepresentations to fit scripture into bogus doctrines.

Note this poster addresses me and not the topic. He offers nothing as to how to improve our translations. It is almost as if his doctrine might be based on mistranslations.

Consider translating "monogenes" as begotten.

Or claiming the RSV mistranslation of Revelation 13:8 is valid and all the ones that say since or from are wrong.

We must remove the agenda driven mistranslations from our bibles, or continue to offer confusion rather than clarity.
