Passing out tracts can be part of making disciples. The command is to make disciples, not pass out tracts. That's a terrible way to measure ministry.

Most of the people I witness to have very little in the way of a church background or biblical foundation. Sometimes prior church experience is more of a hindrance than a help.
You are something alright. If it is being done Biblically and empowered by The Spirit, it will work.Pragmatism? Sorry I am not. What matters is that it's biblical. Much support for open Air can be found in scripture and in church history.
Definitely a hindrance. Most people who have church background are bitter about mistreatment(real or perceived) they received when they were in church.

I have nothing against Way of The Master. Seriously, do you have a financial interest in them or something? Not always true. One of the reasons WOTM shines. It's not interested in getting people to join a church. Perhaps one reason why most of their tracts lack space to put contact info. WOTM is concerned with people getting saved.
Yes. If it does not work, then follow Jesus command to shake dust and move on.So you are saying people will get saved and it will bring results?

Wrong!Wrong.
I hope you succeed. I honestly do.I am busy reading Ashamed of the Gospel 1993 edition.
Jeremiah preached (open air) 40 years without positive responses and had many other problems as a result of his preaching.
What I have experienced in Denver is much rejection. But I have not yet been persecuted for my evangelism.
And how many have been saved, baptized, and discipled? The money tracts are the most popular. Many take them and like them.
And how many of those contacts have been saved, baptized, and discipled?Listen pal I have had many many many one on one encounters with people on the streets. But not every time do people want to talk.
Then they are disobeying the Great Commission. It's not interested in getting people to join a church.
It's a competition, folks. How many open air sermons do you have to go to catch up with Ray?I love tracts. Ray Comfort has passed out more than 40,000 and I have a long way to go to match his record.
