I believe that the Second Coming has yet to happen, as that will be a literal physical event, that will result in literal physical resurrections at that time

I believe the biblical 'second coming' happened long ago.

28 so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to them that wait for him, unto salvation. Heb 9
37 For yet a very little while, He that cometh shall come, and shall not tarry. Heb 10

  • Matthew 24:30 (ESV): "Then will appear in heaven the sign of the Son of Man, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory".

Matthew Chapter 24

34

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished.

  • Revelation 1:7 (ESV): "Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him"
    .
    • Hebrews 9:28 (ESV): "...so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him".
    • Titus 2:13 (ESV): "...waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ".
    • John 14:3 (ESV): "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also".
    • Revelation 22:12 (ESV): "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done".

Matthew Chapter 21

40

When therefore the lord of the vineyard shall come, what will he do unto those husbandmen?

41

They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will let out the vineyard unto other husbandmen, who shall render him the fruits in their seasons.

42

Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; This was from the Lord, And it is marvelous in our eyes?

43

Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and shall be given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

44

And he that falleth on this stone shall be broken to pieces: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will scatter him as dust.

45

And when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them.

And it is literally an allegory. Israel is not a literal woman.

The celestial woman clothed with the sun, moon, and stars is Jerusalem above, the mother of us all.

The two women of Rev 12 and Rev 17 are the same two women of Galatians 4:23-26.

This word genea (generation) can convey the idea of a lineage, race, or type of people. In that sense, Jesus is saying “this people will not pass away” until all is fulfilled — implying that the Jewish people would continue to the end of the age. This interpretation finds support in the durable history of Israel despite many persecutions and dispersions.

Yea...

Luke Chapter 11

29

And when the multitudes were gathering together unto him, he began to say, This generation race is an evil generation race: it seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it but the sign of Jonah.

Matthew Chapter 12

45

Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more evil than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man becometh worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this evil generation race.

They are a perverse and crooked generation.
