Yes I got tamiflu but cannot pick it up till tomorrow. I do not have anyone to preach as I just got here. I am on an inhaler along with several other things.

You NEED to get someone else in your congregation who can even passibly take over for you, Rev. It's that important. Take care of yourself! No one needs to watch their pastor pass out at the pulpit!

I'm so sorry, Revmitchell. My hubby gets this every February, and it's just horrible to get rid of. Take care of yourself, and I'm praying you are better soon!

How are you feeling Rev? How did you make it through Sunday?

My husband came down sick on Saturday and he knows where it heads so planned to see the doctor on Monday. He made it through preaching but then crashed the rest of Sunday. By Monday, he had earth rumbling coughs coming out of him and he's at only 55% lung capacity. He's now on prednisone for 12 days, z-pack and the inhalers as needed. It's not a great time to get sick but once Christmas is done, at least it settles down!

I got through preaching. We have an associate but they just had a baby and his nights are real tough right now so I did not want to drop a bomb on him like that right now. I came home and have been in bed till this afternoon, we had to run some errands. I did not stay out very long before I was exhausted. I am home now. That cough syrup saw bones gave me puts my lights out in a hurry.

I was coughing so hard I actually tore a stomach muscle.

Very. His normal lung capacity is 70%. People thank God for that because he's so loud when he speaks! LOL

OUCH!! I broke a rib when I had bronchitis and was pregnant. I was never so grateful for a c-section in all my life. I delivered the baby 2 weeks later and she's still a pain!!! LOL

Yes...I'm asthmatic and when I get colds they easily turn into bronchitis and then it goes south. I broke a rib falling off a roof and the cough from all this was very painful. Been there.

If I may suggest, good health generally mitigates this bad stuff. For example when I walk for 45 Min to an Hour, I loose weight, build my stamina etc. Start slow, & if you got a dog, then take him for a walk. the point is, just get out there & move around & let nature work its magic.

Please take it easy as you recover so you don't have a relapse.

A good friend of mine lost his 16-year-old son yesterday morning to pneumonia. He had a "mild" case and his parents took him to the hospital for observation and antibiotics. The next morning, he died because the infection went to his heart and overloaded it. He had a mild heart defect and even his young, otherwise healthy body, couldn't handle it.

Rev,

I'm recovering from Pneumonia as well, started on 29 Dec and spent 5 days in the hospital on oxygen and IV antibiotics. The best thing is to rest until you get your strength back. It has got my attention and I'm going to change my diet and exercise (which was not much). God bless you Re v.:wavey:

MY cough had improved but now it has gotten worse than before. I am on another round of anti biotics and a steriod as well. I cannot hardly breathe without coughing. I may have torn another stomach muscle.
