Jude 1:9Actually you do give insight to your opinion in your emphasis:
You set "I the Lord have deceived" apart from the body of the verse, which is basically taking it out of it's context.
Now what people decide you have done that for is up to them.
You give further insight in your next verse:
The common theme so far is to highlight statements which, taken apart from their context in the passage, and taken apart from the context of the Bible as a whole...can lead to some serious confusion.
That's not exactly what I would call "promoting Scripture.
Would I be promoting Scripture is I went to a forum and posted...
Matthew 27:5
King James Version (KJV)
5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
...and when someone asks the reason why I post this I then post...
Luke 10:37
King James Version (KJV)
37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.
...and then when I see that I have irritated the members there, I post...
John 13:27
King James Version (KJV)
27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
...would you consider that "promoting Scripture" too?
Not entirely, because you are presenting more than one opinion, first in the emphasis in the quotes as well as your interaction here.
Nothing wrong with opinions, this is after all a Christian Doctrinal debate and discussion forum.
So go ahead, instead of being roundabout, just speak your mind. If you know you will be banned for your doctrine, perhaps you could try just talking with people here, and listening to why they might see your doctrine as in error.
The only thing at risk is your pride and your membership.
God bless.
Yet Michael the archangel,
when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses,
durst not bring against him a railing accusation,
but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
