God Places Wording in various ways to hide things from the wise and prudent.

You read, "God says in His word that it pleases Him to save those that believe" and decree that there is only one way to see that, however, that also means NEVER considering how God Saves to The Uttermost those He Has Given Repentance and Faith (those that Believe).

In scripture "works" is always and only about the OT law. It cannot be applied to any and all actions we want to add. That is not its context nor its intent.
